Orlando Bloom Explains Why He Wore Silk Boxers in 'Three Musketeers' (VIDEO)

Chelsea Handler was a little surprised at what a dark turn Orlando Bloom took in his career with the character of the Duke of Buckingham on the latest remake of 'The Three Musketeers.' On 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!) she noted that he usually plays nicer guys. But she also noticed something else.

"He's a bit more on the gay side," Bloom agreed of the character. A part of that was the ideas he had about the character when playing him.

In talking about the costuming, Bloom revealed that he took it a step further, costuming in a way we'll never see on the screen.

"I had these purple silk boxer shorts on underneath," he revealed. "Because I had this idea that the character was really sort of indulging in all the finer things in life."
