Take a Trip Back in Time to Watch Amy's Birth on 'Up All Night' (VIDEO)

'Up All Night' - 'Birth'Without any sort of framing sequence to explain why, 'Up All Night' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC) decided to take us back to Reagan's pregnancy and the birth of little Amy. It was a little odd to suddenly be taken on this journey down memory lane, but it was a pleasant enough journey.

We got to see how uptight and particular Reagan was about wanting every step of the birth to go according to the plan, but for the most part it was the same kind of standard stuff you see on every sitcom birth episode.

The couple was grossed-out by the birthing video, Reagan was going to be tough, but then wondered why she felt that way after getting the epidural. They did take a different turn when it was decided she would need a c-section.

There we got to see a glimpse into Chris' mind when he accidentally put on his workout music instead of their pre-planned birth music. We're not at all surprised he kicks it to 'Jump Around' by House of Pain.

It was a fun enough diversion, but without any revelations or surprises about any of the characters, save for Missy's weird 'Little House on the Prairie' hair, we're not sure if it was worthy of an entire episode.

Chris and Reagan are more fun to watch trying to juggle their lives and Amy than they were showing us the inevitable, like Chris deciding to not go back to work and Ava being reluctant but ultimately there for Reagan.
