'St. Elmo's Fire' is one of the most iconic movies of the 1980s, helping cement the Brat Pack into cinematic history. On 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!), Emilio Estevez talked about how he almost didn't make the final cut of the film. The studio came down on director Joel Schumacher, wanting him to cut out the entire storyline involving Estevez. Their problem with him in the film?
"The studio wanted to cut me out of the film because they hated my hair," he said. Didn't they realize it was the 1980s? Nobody had good hair.
Can you imagine 'St. Elmo's Fire' without Kirby Keager? He may not have been the centerpiece of the film, but he was still a key part of the ensemble. Plus, then we'd have probably gotten no Andie MacDowell, either!
