Matthew Perry Sitcom 'Second Chance' Predicted Gaddafi Would Die in 2011

Did a cheesy 1987 Matthew Perry sitcom predict that Muammar Gaddafi would be killed in 2011? A Reddit thread pointed out the wild 'Second Chance' coincidence after the Libyan dictator was killed in Sirte.

In the Fox show, which was set in 2011, the main character Charles, played by Kiel Martin, dies in a hovercraft accident, and after meeting St. Peter at the gates of heaven, is judged to be neither good enough for heaven or bad enough for hell. He's sent back to earth to help his teenage self, played by Matthew Perry, to live a more virtuous life.

But right before the scene in the pilot where Martin meets St. Peter, guess who else pays him a visit? None other than Colonel Gaddafi, with his trademark fatigues riddled with bullet holes. "Dead? It is impossible for me to be dead," the fictional Gaddafi says, before St. Peter sentences him to spend eternity in hell. It's a delightfully corny and really weird scene.

Actually they say September 26th. The beauty queens sash say 2011. Plus 1987 +24 =2011. They missed it by 25 days. Incredible!

Umm... that didn't say anything about it being in 2011. It only predicted that he would be die one day... which as far as I'm aware is what happens to all of us. LAME!

ok LAMO its saying its 1987 in the clipping and it said 24yrs later now what would that make it 1987+24 yrs DUH thats 2011 lol

You're kidding, right? Very beginning of the clip, it says "St. Peter's Office." Right under that, it says, "July 29th, 2011."

They were only off by about 3 months...how eerie is that!!! So does that mean that the Cubs are gonna with the World Series next year? After all that's what Back to the Future 2 predicted!!!

The girl playing Miss America Becky Sue—I think I recognize her. Same woman who now plays Barbara Jean on "Reba"? Looks like her. And who played Gaddafi? That's not Cosmo from "Seinfeld", is it? Ah, the 80s. Don't recall this show, but man I'd forgotten how cheesy and awful TV was back then.

I liked that show and I remember the one with KaDaffy. It was funny. I don't know why they cancelled that show. It was the best show that Mathew perry ever played in. KaDaffy was shown the door to hell.
