'Rules of Engagement' Easily Tops 'How to Be a Gentleman' Premiere Ratings

CBS's 'Rules of Engagement' debuted in the former timeslot of 'How to Be a Gentleman' to almost 3 million more viewers than the now-canceled freshman comedy.

The Thurs., Oct. 20 Season 6 premiere of 'Rules' was watched by 11.5 million viewers. The series premiere of 'How to Be a Gentleman' brought in about 9 million viewers. 'Gentleman' had a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 'Rules' got a 3.7.

'How to Be a Gentleman' was pulled from CBS's Thursday line-up after just two episodes and moved to Saturdays, bouncing 'Rules of Engagement' to Thursdays. Production on 'How to Be a Gentleman' was shut down and CBS pulled the show from Saturdays after one airing.

'Rules of Engagement' stars Spade, Patrick Warburton, Megyn Price and Oliver Hudson and tells the stories of a group of friends in various stages of relationships.

I like Rules. Warburton makes every line funny and Price is quite milf-ish. Spade's act is one note, but it's a funny note and it plays well off Kalyan's Timmy. Overall I find the interaction quite funny and realistic in how they poke at one another. That's what guys do.

Please. Spade is the reason I often avoid the show. Thankfully, Adhir Kalyan's Timmy is there to show what a moron Spade's character is. Timmy is the sole reason I watch the show.

yeah i watched it. it is watchable. my wife likes it. we've watched it forever it seems. we know the characters and they were pretty good this season. if there is nothing else to watch on the dvr this comes up. it's ok.
