'Dancing With the Stars' Week Six Elimination (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 25th 2011 10:45PM
'Dancing With the Stars'After an emotional performance show, in which Maks lost his cool with Len, it was bound to be a tense elimination on 'Dancing With the Stars' (Tue., 8PM ET on ABC). Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his partner, Hope Solo, scored a 20 from the judges, which was better than only one other couple, Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer, who got 19.

Audience votes make up the difference of the vote, obviously, which had to leave Maks and Hope sweating waiting for the final word. We've seen how their fellow contestants felt, many of whom felt he may have crossed the line. Would America agree?

Reality audiences generally respond negatively too arrogance and disrespect, as we've seen in the past with contestants like Chris Daughtry on 'American Idol.' Chmerkovskiy, though, has always ridden that fine line as the resident cocky bad boy of 'DWTS.' But with a one-point difference, and Bono's enduring popularity, would Solo pay the price for his attitude this week?

Tom Bergeron left the couple dangling until the end, but it was finally time to say good-bye to Chaz Bono, who was graceful in his departure. He dedicated his experience to all the young people out there struggling with who they are, and he hopes that he could fill the role in their lives that no one in the public eye was able to when he was a child.

For more on that Maks vs. Len argument, check out Len Goodman's response on 'Access Hollywood Live' here.

I would like to see Rob Kardashian voted off DWTS simply because he is a Kardashian;that is a great reason to vote a Kardashian off because of his shallow family. However, having said that, I do think that Maks and Hope, who is an Olympic medalist, should be voted off;she should be doing much better due to her Olympic training.

I was sad to see Chaz go. He wasn't the best dancer, but he really had guts to go on the show in the first place and really worked his butt off every week. I admire his strength and courage. I think that once again, Bruno needs to curb hs tongue. Comparing Chaz to a penguin was unprofessional and uncalled for. I dislike Bruno more every year. I think it's time for him to go.

As for Maks and Len, I think that Maks was a little disrespectful; however, Len was brutally attacking Hope and I admire Maks for sticking up for her. The personal comments from the 2 male judges has to stop. Only Carrie Ann actually gives criticism about the dancing techniques, etc., she has too much class to verbally put down people on a personal level.

Yes, you certainly can be gay and have a wonderful life especially if you have a mother named Cher. Come on, Chaz. Do you really think you made it this far on your own?
