'Boss' Behind-the-Scenes Preview & Interviews, Plus a Big Giveaway
What did you think of Kelsey Grammer's new drama 'Boss' (Fridays, 10PM ET on Starz)? The pilot episode laid out Mayor Tom Kane's major dilemma for the series, but it also introduced several other intriguing players in the political landscape of Chicago. In this behind-the-scenes video, creator Farhad Safinia and stars Kathleen Robertson (Kitty O'Neil) and Jeff Hephner (Ben Zajac) give insight into the Zajac's character and motivation as he becomes the Kane-endorsed candidate for governor.
"I think Zajac is a bright guy, and I think he has the same DNA, in a way, that makes up a guy like Kane," Hephner says. "It's important for him to try to reconcile how deep he gets into bed with Kane," Safinia teases, "because he knows what happens to people who do. Yet, the temptation of the fast-track to winning high office is very alluring."
And then there are Zajac's dalliances, another thing he shares in common with Kane. Robertson teases more about their torrid relationship, pointing out that "she knows better ... but she can't help herself."
