Rosie O'Donnell Talks Homophobia, Bullying With Tracy Morgan (VIDEO)
Rosie O'Donnell has been friends with Tracy Morgan a long time. When he appeared on her new talk show, 'The Rosie Show' (Weeknights, 7PM ET on OWN), she defended his character, saying, "I know you're not homophobic, because News Flash! I'm a lesbian."They were, of course, talking about Morgan's controversial live show in which he was accused of being homophobic for comments he made. I felt hurt because the people who were at my show were hurt, "I don't pride myself on hurting anyone with the mic. That's so easy to do."
O'Donnell then talked about bullying that Morgan himself went through as a child, though for different reasons. It's one of the main reasons he honed his comedic chops. "When you're funny in the ghetto, they protect you a little bit," he explained.
