Katie Couric Still Wants to Be on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Katie CouricIn the latest "I want to be on 'Dancing With the Stars'" news, Katie Couric has taken to Twitter to voice her desire to do the rumba on live TV.

"DWTS is my guilty pleasure!," she tweeted. "1 day hope I'll be on it...b4 I'm using a walker! Ha! But there might not be enuf anti perspirant on the planet!" [sic]

However, this isn't the first time Couric has spoken up about wanting to join the dancing competition. In September 2010, Couric said wanted to cha cha cha for the mirrorball trophy.

"My secret fantasy, sadly, is to be on 'Dancing With the Stars,'" she told UsMagazine.com. At the time she said she'd be worried about "those skimpy outfits!"

Now that Couric is part of the ABC family, a trip to the dance floor shouldn't be that hard to finagle. AOL TV even put her on our Season 13 cast wish list.

Couric's new talk show, 'Katie,' isn't set to debut until September 2012 and 'Dancing With the Stars' will probably be back for a spring 2012 season ... could we see Couric decked out in sequin next March?

Isn't it BAD enough to put up with what is to me the most Hatefull "look @ me look @ me" female on TV. Katie Couric PLZZZZZZZZZ keep her "I'M in Charge everyone is stupid BUT me snotty personality away from fun shows like Dancing With the Stars

After reading most of these posts, I can only assume that most of you are Sarah Palin loving GOPTP'ers. What on earth could Katy have done to evoke such nasty, jealous, downright mean comments? Most of you wish you could look as good as she does at her age and be as successful and intelligent. All people have a right to their opinion................THAT INCLUDES KATY!

SERIOUSLY??? this egomaniac is a complete idiot. She is the biggest narcicist I have ever seen. Go ahead and put her on there wih all those other losers. She'll fit right in! I watched the first season of this loser show and will never tune in again. For all those who enjoy the show...I'm sure they'll just be thrilled. UGH!! PUKE! PUKE!

DWTS is going downhill anyway, let katie go down with the ship. i cannot stand her. she must be really desperate for some attention. she is NOT a star.
