'The X Factor' Becomes First TV Show to Allow Twitter Voting

The X Factor Twitter Votes'The X Factor' is making history by becoming the first reality TV series to allow viewers to cast their votes via Twitter, the social networking site.

In addition to Twitter voting, fans will also be able to cast their picks via Facebook, toll-free calling, text message, online and in 'The Xtra Factor' mobile application on Verizon Android phones. Voting begins after the live performance on Wed., Nov. 2. Results will be revealed live on Thurs., Nov. 3 at 8PM ET.

"I think it's fantastic that Verizon and 'The X Factor' are giving fans so many different ways to vote. Launching touch screen voting on Verizon's The Xtra Factor App and the new voting on Twitter is really exciting, I love that the audience has more and more choice in the way that they can vote," Simon Cowell said in a statement.

Only the votes sent via direct message to @TheXFactorUSA will count. Publicly visible tweets will not count as votes. Viewers who cast votes via TheXFactorUSA.com and Twitter are limited to 50 votes per account. More details on Twitter voting.

Keeper If she made it she would not be there now....children and husbands can throw a hook in your plans.she was not a star she work as back up singer...she never had her own hits or been a star....Its now or never at her age, She been but down by others that stole her joy........move on let it be.......

The X Factor is great place for people that have been trying to get their talent recognized. The judges did a good job in the beginning bringing new talent to the big stage. However, once they had the talent they let many of them go and kept talent that was not as great as it could have been. Overall, the show has too many people with European accents and the American people do not want to listen to European accent’s that is why European shows and movies fail in America. My prediction is this show will need to become more American or the show will fail by the third season. Lastly, the judges need to work together to keep the talent going because the judges are not capable of picking the best talent on their own.

THE HOST IS A JOKE, THE SINGERS ARE WORSE THAN THE SINGERS ON AMERICAN IDOL, SORRY SIMON BUT THIS IS A COMPLETE FAILURE FOR YOU. I EXPECTED ALOT MORE FROM YOU. YOU WILL BE LUCKY IF IT MAKES THE FIRST SEASON WITHOUT BEING CANCELLED.

The Americans have made that Simon very wealthy.....That his only worry is which of his luxury mansions he's going to frolic in......While Americans worry how their going to pay their monthly bills. Yep it's Reality TV.

Simon has brought a lot of entertainment to the X factor show. a step above American Idol. The girl from Sunrise
Florida, has my vote all the way thru.

AND... I like Simon when he is most humble. He did something great when he showed his vulnerable side by taking back his 5th girl, who rocked the show!
