Addy's Halloween Night Takes a Shocking Turn on 'American Horror Story' (VIDEO)
Adelaide has been one of the more intriguing characters on 'American Horror Story' (Wed., 10PM ET on FX). It appears that most of the people the Harmons encounter in the house are ghosts, but Addy was always very real. And yet she was in the house almost constantly. She's been connected with it dating back to the 1970s when she was a child, but the spirits don't seem to wish her any harm. Of course, they don't seem to mess with her mother, Constance, either but that could be because Constance may well be scarier than any of them.
She's certainly brutal emotionally to Addy, who has Down Syndrome. Addy wanted to be a "pretty girl" for Halloween, but Constance only allowed it by forcing her to wear a mask. Still, Addy was satisfied and happy. Did the mask impact her ability to see when she ran across the road to join the other "pretty" girls, though?
We may never know, as she became the victim of a hit-and-run, though we doubt her story ends here. Constance was adamant about dragging her to the yard before she died, and it would appear that she made it just in time ... ?
Maybe she needed to die on the property for her spirit to linger. Certainly there's no reason to think we've seen the last of her on a show where everyone we've ever seen die still shows up on a regular basis to torment or confuse the Harmons.
