More Than 3 Million Viewers Welcomed 'Beavis & Butt-Head' Back to TV

Beavis & Butt-Head'Beavis & Butt-Head' are bringing the boys back to MTV.

The return of the Mike Judge cartoon brought in 3.3 million viewers at 10PM ET. The show had a 3.4 rating in the 12-34 demographic. According to MTV, two-thirds of the 'Beavis & Butt-Head' audience were males ages 12-34.

The debut of 'Good Vibes' at 10:30PM ET was watched by 1.6 million viewers with a 1.4 rating in the 12-34 demo.

'Beavis & Butt-Head' hit the airwaves in 1993 and lasted four years on MTV, even spawning a feature film, 'Beavis & Butt-Head Do America.'

In an interview with 'The Early Show,' series creator Mike Judge said he hopes the old viewers will tune in for nostalgia's sake, but thinks it's accessible for new viewers, too.

"Well the thing about 'Beavis and Butt-Head' is ... there's not a whole lot of back story and maybe that's part of the appeal ... They are a couple of weirdos," he joked. Check out a clip from the interview below:

Beavis and Butthead is awesome. I'm glad to see it back. And for those who don't like it, don't watch it!! There are a dozen or so shows that I hear a lot of people talking about that I absolutely refuse to watch, but that's what the remote is for.

The folks that don't like Beavis and Butthead are the ones that can't wait to hit the water cooler tomorrow and talk about what happened tonight on Medical Drama by the Numbers 8,000,000. So, they aren't exactly the sort of sheeple one should concern themselves with.

Loved it. Thought the two episodes were right up there with the series' best. Making fun of Jersey Shore was priceless. When Butthead turned to Beavis after he started crying and said, "You're moved." That was about the funniest thing I have ever seen on TV.

I gotta say, I am old enough to be a parent or even grandparent to most of their target demographic, but, I think Beavis and Butt-head are hilarious. I loved the original show and couldn't wait for the return. I was right there watching it along with the 12-34 year olds. My bad, I know, but I don't care.

I noticed that most of the people who are bashing this show are usually uptight and have no sense of humor whatsoever! They even make up garbage about that show which shows just exactly how much they know about anything which is not much. Like the comment about them being pot smokers. Gotta love that one. They never smoked pot you morons! before you comment about something, make sure you have your facts straight! They are no different than South Park which is another great show! People need to pull their heads out of their a**es.

flippin thru the channels with the remote...and i came upon this....its about time!!!....my favorite favorite show....seen em all...got the vcr box set of all episodes...cant believe they are back again.....thank u thank u thank u...and its got more than the 18-34 year range im 51....and have always loved them.....they can go another many years

I tgought the RETURN,..BOTH episodes were just a pormotion for MTV's other shows...they kept showing clips from Jersey Shore...and the VIDEOS the BOYS watched were unimportant and unpopular groups ...why not start at the Top (britney Spears, lady Gaga, Miley Cryus etc) and then work your way down....are they afraid to make fun of the artists that generate MONEY for MTV? At least there was NO restriction on Beavis yelling FIRE!! (it was banned originally) but the boys were not DESTRUCTIVE which is their best quality (lol)
