Seven Scary Stories And One Crazy Person on a Halloween 'Community' (VIDEO)

'Community' - 'Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps'"Troy and Abed sewn together!" --Troy and Abed (sewn together)

Tonight's Halloween episode of 'Community' (Thu., 8PM ET on NBC) was about finding out who in the group might just legitimately be crazy, and while the group never finds out for sure, we almost do by the end.

To help figure it out, Britta coerces them into each telling scary stories, which leads to hilarious vignettes told in the voice of each storyteller. Annie's story was perhaps the most traditional, though romanticized as you might expect from a young person in this 'Twilight' era.

She spruced it up with a bit of girl power, though, by having the young heroine be a werewolf and thus able to protect herself from the vampire. We loved Abed's practical story, Pierce's lecherous love romp and Shirley's Rapture cautionary tale with the Dean as Satan.

But the best moment came at the end, after the psych evaluation results came back showing that all of them but one are crazy. They couldn't figure out who the sane one was, but the producers let us know by putting their names over the scores. As you might have expected, the one who seems the most out of touch is apparently the least crazy: Abed.

That said, Jeff said he filled his answers out randomly, so he may be sane as well -- assuming he wasn't lying about that part to make himself look better or cooler.

This marks the second brilliant episode of 'Community' in a row, with both of them featuring shorter vignettes within a larger narrative. While we doubt it would work to use this format every week, it certainly speaks to the strength of it within the context of the show's surreality.

What a stinkbomb of an episode. Almost the same as last weeks with the alternative universes....except not very funny.
