Kate Winslet Carried Richard Branson's Mother From a House Fire (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 31st 2011 1:00AM
Kate Winslet, 'The Graham Norton Show'Kate Winslet is a hero, though not to hear her tell it. Apparently, in her reality, everybody runs toward a burning fire and carries people down the stairs and to safety. She was more concerned about her support, or lack thereof, on 'The Graham Norton Show' (Sat., 10PM ET on BBC America).

Actually, in the moment when a fire broke out at Richard Branson's house, she decided she wasn't concerned at all.

"I started to put on a bra, then I thought, No that's gonna take me too long," she revealed. This was, apparently, a detail the press did not feel their readers needed to know in their reports of the dramatic incident, so Winslet filled us in.

She was surprised by her own actions, when recalling that she ran toward the fire. "In disastrous moments like that, you do the strangest things," she declared. But what Winslet did was very brave, gathering up the children and then carrying Eva Branson down the stairs.

Bra or not, she may well have saved someone's life, and in our book that's a pretty heroic thing to do.

We read this story on here 2 months ago. Maybe it was to prepare us for the repetitive commercials on every story. Even those grouped together on the same subject,. Do you have any editors? I'm turned against these products that ram it own my throat. Give it some thought. Would you want to read the same ad on every page of the newspaper or see the same commercial each time a program changes subjects? This is either laziness and/or stupidity. AOL, get busy and clean up you act,

LOL...........this story needs to die like the fire did. Really with all the news in the world you have to relive this. Move on the rest of did. And they have so many commercials sometimes I drift off and end up missing the story out of borden from the commercials..

I'll say what I said last month........same article. How dare she make this about her unsupported boobs! Anything to get attention, and probably a lie. And she looks like a man!

Congrats Kate! Not only are you an outstanding actress but an outstanding human being as well. You are what the young women of today should aspire to, not the other horrible influences out there. You are the best!

Well here is a heroic young woman, and a true lady. Compare her to that Kadashian bottomless pit of garbage. It's good to know there are still people of worth in this world.

wsntrmd Nobody is disagreeing with you two months ago. We want to move on. I am sure there are other good positive stories out there without repeating. Give someone else their 15 minutes off fame.

Good for you Oklahoma!!! It is about time the citizens begin to take the power away from the Feds and did what was best for their state. I sincerely hope Georgia will follow! we have been bullied by the Feds, the ACLU and others of that ilk for way too long. So I commend Oklahoma for having the common sense to address these issues.
