'Today' Halloween Costumes Take Us Back to the Royal Wedding (VIDEO)
'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC) took the Royal Wedding, the biggest crossover news story of the year, and turned it into one very spectacular group Halloween costume. For a few minutes, it looked like the show had started to play the wrong video. Call it one sweet trick, followed by a very royal treat as Matt Lauer appeared as Prince William, decked out in full British military dress. Ann Curry slipped into a version of Kate Middleton's stunning gown, Al Roker donned his best wig and dressed as Prince Harry, Natalie Morales channeled her best Pippa, and Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb put on their party hats and dressed as Beatrice and Eugenie, the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
To round out the cast, Savannah Guthrie was tapped to play Prince Charles and former 'Today' co-host Meredith Vieira made a surprise return visit to the show as Queen Elizabeth, complete with a gaggle of corgis.
To add more credibility to the affair, 'Today' used the original Royal Wedding commentary done by Lauer and Vieira at the actual wedding.
