The Dartmouth Aires Tackle a Queen Medley on 'The Sing-Off' (VIDEO)

Dartmouth Aires, 'The Sing-Off'This week, the seven remaining contenders on 'The Sing-Off' (Mon., 8PM ET on NBC) were tasked with creating superstar medleys, and no group faced a more daunting challenge than the Dartmouth Aires.

Now, they've got an outstanding frontman, but no-one is Freddie Mercury, and they had the task of bringing the music of Queen to life a cappella. For sure, this was going to be a performance the judges would scrutinize and hold their breath during.

As it turns out, we needn't have worried, as they proved why they're still in the running, and why their frontman is out in front with virtually every performance. While he doesn't have the range of Mercury -- and how many people do? -- he nevertheless showed astonishing chops, and certainly had an impressive enough range to leave Sara Bareilles declaring it her favorite performance of the season so far. What did you think of the Dartmouth Aires?

Other favorites this week were Pentatonix's take on Britney Spears and Delilah finally putting Amy back out front where she belongs for at least part of their Alicia Keys medley. They haven't shone quite as brightly since the first week when Amy gave us all chills.

Unfortunately for the Yellowjackets, who were in the Bottom Two last week, Billy Joel wasn't enough to liven up the judges enough to keep them alive in the competition. And yet, they are a thoroughly entertaining and talented group, which must mean we're reaching that point of the competition where it will be heartbreak each week. Do you agree with this decision?

I don't agree it will be heartbreak every week. There really are only 2 standouts-Pentatonix and Dartmouth Aires.
