Kris Jenner: Kim Kardashian's Marriage Wasn't a Sham (VIDEO)

Kris Jenner wants to set the record straight about Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries's short-lived marriage.

"It certainly wasn't a sham, certainly wasn't for TV," Jenner said on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC). "We have enough going on on our show that we don't have to make things up. She really felt that she was in love with him. It was an amazing time ... I had no idea there was a problem at the time. It saddens all of us."

Jenner, who is promoting her new memoir 'Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian,' claimed the couple did not make any money from the wedding.

"One of the rumors is that we sold the television rights for millions of dollars -- not true. We profited, she profited from the wedding? Absolutely false," she said.

Kardashian and Humphries sold the rights to their wedding photos, but Jenner said that money -- less than $1 million, more than $500,000 -- went toward paying for the wedding.

"They made some money for the pictures that were sold and things like that, but at the end of the day, that money went towards the wedding and Kim had to pay a great deal of money [for the balance of the wedding]. We don't sell television rights."

Jenner insisted that the money the family made from the wedding special was consistent with what E! pays them for "any other episode," despite reports that commercials during the special sold for upwards of $100,000 per spot.

Kardashian is currently in Australia promoting the family's accessory line, but Jenner said "she's sick about it."

Knew very little about the Kardasians before the wedding and now a divorce. So decided to watch a show to understand who they were. I watched Khloe's wedding. Thought that should give me a good example of the dynamics that constitute the family. Well............a mother who lies to her husband then plays dumb when comfronted with the truth. A daughter, Kim, who tried to maintain the center of attention away drom the bride. Hysterics all around, mostly of grown women stooping to sophomoric behavior. The father showing the only sense of maturity in the whole group. So this is what our society has decided is worth while programing. By the end of the 2 hour episode my head ached from all of the drama over something so simple and sweet; the love of two individuals for each other who just want to get married. Khloe, you should have eloped. And Kim, you are the center of your universe! Geez, do us favor. Leave the boys alone and get a life.

What show is it that everyone's talking about? I keep seeing pictures of these people, but wasn't aware they had some sort of a television show. Maybe it's because I don't like spooky ****, or Sci-Fi ****, or alien ****, or gay ****, or silly ****, or sad ****, or dumb family ****, or boring ****, or racial ****, or bigoted ****, or shows with people who don't know ****.

this female seems not to know who she wants. everytime you look up, shes with or marry a different man. i give her less then a year she will find another. i bet her tail is wide open, from mostly every dude in hollywood. feel sorry for her.
