'Smallville' Actor Heads to 'Glee'

'Smallville' and 'Dukes of Hazzard' veteran John Schneider has booked a guest role on 'Glee.'

According to TVLine, Schneider will play the father of Sam Evans (returning guest star Chord Overstreet).

Last season Sam moved into a hotel after his father lost his job. In the Season 3 premiere, Overstreet's character was written out of the popular Fox series. Sam moved away after his father found work.

However, Overstreet's character returns to 'Glee' beginning with the eighth episode.

"We love Chord and have always said that we wanted him back," Ryan Murphy, 'Glee' executive producer and co-creator, said in a statement. "So here's an early Christmas present for all the Gleeks -- Sam is coming back to McKinley, and just in time for sectionals!"
