Christina Applegate Is Giving the 'Up All Night' Writers Tips on Writing a New Mom (VIDEO)

The cast of 'Up All Night' are pretty much all raising young children in their personal lives: Will Arnett, Maya Rudolph, Nick Cannon, and Christina Applegate are all new-ish parents. Applegate stopped by 'The View,' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) where she talked about the similarities between her real parenting life and her character Reagan's, and explained that she's given tips to the show's writers based on her own experience.

Before she even agreed to do the show, Applegate told the producers she needed special provisions to account for her daughter. She had a nursery built on-set, and her daughter spends a lot of time there while they're shooting. "They had to built me a room for her ... it's got her toys and a crib, and she takes her naps there and walks around," Applegate said.

Applegate also lent a lot of her own personal experience to the recent flashback birthing episode. Like Reagan, having a headband to wear while she was giving birth was also of the utmost importance to her. The intense competition, and organization, were also anecdotes she gave the writers. "I even would send texts to myself, like 'Do not forget the headband, do not forget the headband...'" she explained. Something tells us that Applegate didn't forget the headband like Reagan did.
