Important character like Lucky..they would probably re-cast. But remember it is a soap ..they can do anything they want..kill him then re-cast and bring in someone else to play him. They do it all the time. Lucky has been played by a few others over the years. Look how many Carlys there were, Maxie re-cast all of the sudden too. Hopefully Kirsten will get better if she is ill and return soon. Michael was in coma for year..woke up a different person and aged alot LOL

Waaaayyyy too heavy for someone to deal with in real life....and that shows how into his character he gets...which is why he is such a good actor. Bravo for taking care of yourself, Jonathan, you will be missed. BIG mistake on execs part. Don"t bring back the last guy, he was so aweful and could NEVER carry the load. I stopped watching with him on because he was so awful and NOT Lucky AT ALL.

ive been a fan of Jonathan Jackson's for 17 yrs and when he came back in 2009 i was exited.and in 2010 i got a small Jonathan lucky tattoo,im sick of people putting him down and saying this and that if you don't like him then why bother .yes he looks young hes only 29 he was born in 1982 . Greg was to old for lucky .and Jonathan is and will always be lucky to me on general hospital , im a fan that has never been judgmental or put him down..yes ill miss seeing him on general hospital but as a fan i care for his well being the most .and when hes done with his scenes as lucky i will not be watching it ever again. he wasn't complaining .they did put him through some heavy things on general hospital ..hes been a inspiration to me for years .im proud of his accomplishments as a actor and in his music . Jon is not made of steel .i love the way Jonathan looks and a have a new kitten named lucky .

General Hospital has the potential to remain a great soap if the malaise of the writing team ceases and chances are taken with the characters, for instance, when will Shawn and Carly get together? If this were real life, he would have slept with her many months ago. Jason and Sam are boring. I can't repeat this enough times. Why the writers have forced this marriage down viewers' throats is baffling. Finally, Sonny is no longer interesting and lastly, one peripheral character who needs to be written off the show is Matt.

Anyone who watches the show can see he puts 100% of himself in his scenes,how many actors can you name that can cry at the drop of the hat. I could see how he could be emotionally exhausted with the dead son,the alcoholic father that ran over the son,the murdered wife, the son who he thought was his brother's,oh and the drug addiction to pain killers. Shame, I thought he was a guaranteed another Emmy.
