Wendy Williams Wants Reality Stars to Be Eligibile for Hollywood Walk of Fame (VIDEO)
When Wendy Williams introduced her plea for reality stars to be made eligible for the Hollywood Walk of Fame, her 'Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated on Fox) audience thought she was going in a different direction. "They have just banned reality stars from being a part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame," Wendy said, which her audience greeted with a raucous round of applause."Excuse me ... no, no ... you guys are so wrong," Wendy laughingly protested. "The key-word here is fame, not acting ability. Snooki is more famous than Michelle Williams ... So if it's Hollywood Walk of Fame, then why shouldn't reality stars be on there?" she asked.
Wendy then launched into an even broader defense of the reality genre, urging everyone from Oprah to TI to drop the guise of calling reality shows "documentaries." "Everybody's too high-brow to say reality show ... there was a reality show on OWN," she protested, referring to 'The O'Neals,' "and Snooki is a star, dammit."
