CBS Cuts 'Rules of Engagement' Short
Is this the end of the road for 'Rules of Engagement'?According to Deadline, CBS has cut the episode order for the long-running sitcom from 18 to 13.
'Rules' had two episode held from last season, so Season 6 will now run 15 episodes as opposed to 20.
The David Spade-fronted series has bounced around CBS's schedule for years, often serving as a midseason replacement. This season, the series replaced 'How to Be a Gentleman' on Thursdays following 'The Big Bang Theory' at 8:30PM.
So far the show has been posting good numbers, averaging at least 11 million viewers per episode. If it's doing OK, then why the shortened episode order? CBS needs to make room for its midseason comedy project starring Rob Schneider.
