Pamela Anderson as the Virgin Mary? Only in Canada

Think of actresses who can convincingly play the Virgin Mary. Got it? OK, who made the cut? Emma Watson? Chloe Moretz? Dakota Fanning? Mary was supposed to be about 14 years old when Jesus was born; otherwise, if she were older, names like Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet may have popped up.
But how about Pamela Anderson? Yep, that Pamela Anderson. Well, it's happening in Canada, and for a Christmas special, no less.
The former 'Baywatch' star will trade in her iconic red one-piece for a loose-fitting glorified robe as she takes on the role of Virgin Mary in a wacky retelling of the Nativity story, part of 'A Russell Peters Christmas.'
According to Canadian network CTV, Peters has put his own irreverent twist on the holiday special (hence, the casting of Anderson, with some stand-up offerings and lingerie models thrown into the mix), and the variety show will be unlike anything viewers have seen before.
Anderson -- who's probably more known for running in slow motion on a beach, married to and making a sex tape with ex-husband Tommy Lee, posing for 'Playboy' for three decades -- will be seen holding baby Jesus with Joseph (played by Peters) by her side. Oh, Canada.
The Canadian actress headlines the holiday special, along with troublemaker of the day, Michael Bublé, Jon Lovitz ('Saturday Night Live'), Scott Thompson ('The Kids in the Hall'), Faizon Love ('Couples Retreat') and Ted Lange ('The Love Boat'), which airs on Dec. 1 on CTV and specialty channel The Comedy Network.
