What to Watch: TV Picks for November 14 - 20

by Stephanie Earp, posted Nov 14th 2011 9:35AM

Bones - Thursday November 17, 9PM ET/PT, Global/Fox

I do enjoy it when 'Bones' decides to have a little bit of fun with their murder scenes. This week, they find their victim shrink-wrapped with a Prince Charming doll. Turns out, the woman worked for a toy company headed by guest Morgan Fairchild, who always adds a dash of creepy camp when she turns up. Meanwhile Sweets prepares for his gun certification, despite the fact that Booth still objects to him carrying a weapon.

Also This Week:

Louie - Monday November 14, 9:30PM ET/PT, Citytv

Louie meets a fellow single parent, Pamela, at his very first PTA meeting. (Pamela, just FYI, is one of the few recurring characters on the series, and is played by none other than Pamela Adlon, who voiced one of the best TV characters of all time, Bobby Hill.) Fictional Pam and fictional Louie get their kids together on a play date and talk about how boring raising kids can be sometimes.

New Girl - Tuesday November 15, 9PM ET/PT, Citytv/Fox

Justin Long guest stars as a love interest for Jess. He's a music teacher at her school and she invited him over to the apartment for Thanksgiving dinner -- which everyone knows is a terrible idea for a first date.

The Simpsons - Sunday November 20, 8PM ET/PT, Global/Fox

Author Neil Gaiman ('Coraline,' 'American Gods') guests as himself in a literary-centred episode. Lisa discovers her favourite author doesn't actually exist and Homer decides to write a tween novel, in hopes of getting rich. Homer's take on 'Twilight'? Now that's a book I would read.
