Casey Anthony TV Movie In the Works
It was bound to happen: Lifetime is working on a TV movie based on the Casey Anthony case.According to Variety, the network is developing a flick for the small screen based on 'Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony,' the memoir of Anthony's prosecutor, Jeff Ashton.
The book comes out on Tues., Nov. 15 and follows Ashton's three years spent trying to convict Anthony of the murder of her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee.
Following a trial that was obsessively tracked by the media, Anthony was acquitted in July.
Alison Cross of 'Roe vs. Wade' fame is writing the script and will executive produce the project with Jean Abounader and Michelle Manning.
Lifetime has yet to officially greenlight the project into production.
