cbs orders more a gifted manCBS has ordered three more scripts for their fledgling drama, 'A Gifted Man,' bring its freshman season to a solid 16 episodes, reports Deadline. However, it's not a full-season pickup, and the show's fate is still uncertain.

The series has struggled to find an audience in the ad-friendly 18-49 demo, averaging a 1.2 rating in the Friday 8 PM slot. However, in total viewers, the drama, starring Patrick Wilson, has been solid, most recently drawing 8.3 million viewers.

The network has picked up three of its five freshman series for full seasons -- 'Two Broke Girls,' 'Person of Interest' and 'Unforgettable.' Meanwhile, failed comedy 'How To Be a Gentleman' was cancelled.

My sister and I made sure we instructed our DVR to record "A Gifted Man" every week in case we somehow couldn't watch it when it was to be featured on CBS. Now, we are hoping to see replays and we look forward to another season of such excellent and interesting programming. I think "A Gifted Man" has rekindled my interest in turning on the set!

"A Gifted Man" is one of the most refreshing shows on TV in years. We rarely get caught up in series but have tried to watch everyone of these shows. What a shame it would be if this show were not to become a major series like NCIS. We tried to watch a series premier last night, "Once Upon A Time" or something like that...awful...filmed like a soap opera...one of the worse we have tried to watch.

I love everything about the show. All the acting is believable, even the dead ex wife. I DVR lots of shows and this is one of them since it is on Friday nights. Hope the bubble doesn't burst.

This could be a good show...actually it IS good already...I like it and would be a regular, but it does have to be tweeked. It may be time for the wife to finally die...or given a more prominent role.
