Stacy Francis Talks About Her 'X Factor' Elimination (VIDEO)

Stacy FrancisLast night's 'X Factor' (Wed./Thurs., 8PM ET on Fox) elimination show proved shocking for all the wrong reasons; while Stacy Francis had given two lackluster performances over the past couple of weeks, it was Astro's petulant behavior that stirred up controversy. Despite being chided for his attitude by the judges, Astro was spared to sing another week, while 42-year-old Francis was sent home.

Today, Francis appeared on 'Good Day New York' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) to discuss what's next for her career -- and far from shedding the mascara-streaked tears we've come to expect from the singer, Francis seemed poised and confident.

"I had some people approach me last night immediately after the show," she admitted, when asked about her next move. "I'm hoping America will still support me even though I'm not on the show."
After accidentally slipping and calling 'X Factor' 'American Idol,' Francis lamented that she wouldn't have the chance to be the first winner of the freshman talent show, since "I think that 10 years from now we'll always remember the first 'X Factor' winner."

Then again, given some of the less-than-memorable 'American Idol' winners who have faded into obscurity over the years, maybe she'll do better without winning.

Astro needs to go. The music world does not another person with an attitude. There are enough of them out there already. I think he is very disrespectful to adults and needs to find out there is someone on that show that is better than he is. He needs to be humble and respectful.

I don't think that Stacy was that good. Her singing didn't impress me at all. It's hard to explain but her singing was more like someone that was screaming instead of singing. As far as Astro is concerned I think he has a lot of growing up to do. He needs to get rid of that attitude that he has also.

Astro's a little punk. Didn't like his attitude from the minute he opened his mouth during try-outs. Still don't..

Stacy doesn't need the big X. She'll make it in the music world just fine, because she'll be able to choose own her genre - music that's more suited to her voice.

Never liked Stacey; didn't like all her drama. She is not an old lady but she wanted everybody to feel sorry for her and think that this was her last chance in life; give me a break!! As to Astro, he acted really arrogant but he is very talented; he'll just have to mature and listen to the advice of his mentors.

Astro is a no talent, arrogant, self centered little piece of dung. With his attitude and big head maybe
he should run for president And Paula should get off the dope. Doubt if the L.A. Reid will survive
Crossing simon is not a smart move for a career. I liked Simon on Americn Idol but he is another
arrogant, know it all, self centered pice of crap X factor wil never make it
