Justin Bieber went on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) Wednesday, where he talked about the DNA test he took to exonerate himself from allegations that he fathered Mariah Yeater's baby.

Barbara Walters asked him why he felt compelled to take the paternity test even though he hadn't been ordered to by acourt, and Bieber explained he did it voluntarily to clear his name. "I did it because I wanted to, I just wanted everything to be out in the open, and be like listen, 'there's no reason for this to be a discussion.'"

Whoopi Goldberg then brought some levity to the conversation, pointing out something resembling an early-stage mustache growing on Bieber's upper lip. "Is that mustache?!" she asked incredulously. "It's November, I'm growin' it out," Bieber replied. He said he was doing it for Movember, a movement that encourages guys to grow mustache to raise money to benefit research into men's cancers.
