Bob Forrest Checks in With Nikki McKibbin on 'Celebrity Rehab Revisited' (VIDEO)

Nikki McKibbon, 'Celebrity Rehab Revisited'Former 'American Idol' contestant Nikki McKibbin has been one of the success stories of 'Celebrity Rehab' (Sun., 9PM ET on VH1). So when Dr. Drew Pinsky and Bob Forrest saw her glazed eyes and slow speech in a video update, they were understandably concerned. Forrest made the trip to check in in McKibbin and see what's going on in her life.

It turns out that she's being medicated with addictive prescription meds like Lithium and Ativan, which was a huge concern for Forrest. McKibbin said she'd been very forthcoming about her past with addiction, so it was a surprise that her doctors were putting her on these particular drugs, though she said these were to wean her off of other drugs.

While McKibbin is working hard to stay sober for her children, it's a constant battle. And as she still has some emotional demons to battle, going medication-free isn't going to lead to health and success right now, so she has to find that balance that will keep her addiction-free, but also able to enjoy a full quality of life.

What's with all the hate? I know nothing about her, but have met very few people in my life who attract this amount of hatred. What's the deal? She's in pain, trying to better herself (for herself and her family) and is being open and honest in the process. That's all I can see about her from this clip. And those are all admirable qualities I wish we all embraced.

I don't remember her on the idol show, but i do hope for the kids sake she will get clean and stay clean. yea and clean your hair and face up while your at it. it is a hot mess.

How would you feel if someone said that about you? She's a human being with a problem she's trying to correct. Have you been perfect all your life, Vietnam Vet? She could become a big part of the solution if she gets past this. Have a heart.

I believe Vietnamvet was talking about trash as in caring what celebrities are up to, he didn't call her trash. Also he does deserve something for being a vet. He deserves our thanks for fighting for our country and coming home and being treated worse than murderers and rapists. Thanks for your service vet!
