Buddy Valastro, 'Next Great Baker'The 'Cake Boss' Buddy Valastro returned with the second season of 'Next Great Baker' (Mon., 9PM ET on TLC). At stake is an apprenticeship at Valastro's bakery, so he's very invested in making the right choices as the competition progresses.

Sometimes that means looking beyond the final product to the individuals behind the efforts. For the elimination challenge, they were separated into teams, which would test their teamwork. As they each have their own artistic vision, this was a tremendous challenge. And with a four-foot tall cake to create, they had their work cut out for them.

Baking turned out to be the least of one team's worries, as Tony, Sarah and Heather M. found themselves dropping their cake while trying to unload it from the truck. They were so close, but the drop put them in danger of elimination.

At an earlier endurance challenge, Tony toughed it out with Wesley in a freezer for an hour until they negotiated with Buddy to split the prize and end the challenge. Unfortunately, Tony took the team prize -- which was season one winner Dana Hebert on their team -- instead of immunity. But for his efforts on behalf of his team, he was spared elimination, and it was Sarah who was sent home.
