Why just announce the nominees when you can do it with a concert instead? That's exactly what the 'Grammy Nominations Concert Live' (Wed., 10PM ET on CBS) did. And while it didn't go off perfectly, we did get to see at least one surprise that got the on-hand crowd on their feet.

After opening the show with her new hit 'Marry the Night,' Lady Gaga returned to perform an unexpected duet with Sugarland. Their voices went together beautifully on 'You and I.' We love that country continues to collaborate with other musical genres, as when Jason Aldean paired with Ludacris on 'Dirt Road Anthem.'

Sure we would have rather seen him tear up the stage with Kelly Clarkson on their smash 'Don't You Wanna Stay,' but we'll settle with the joy that it got nominated for a Grammy. To find out if they win, we'll just have to tune in to CBS on February 12, 2012.
