'The Nate Berkus Show' Canceled, To End After This Season

The Nate Berkus Show Canceled'The Nate Berkus Show' has been canceled. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the current season, its second, will be the last for the daytime lifestyle show.

"I'm incredibly proud of my hard working and talented staff, and proud of the show we were able to produce every day," Berkus said in a statement.

The daytime talk show, somewhat of a spin-off from 'The Oprah Winfrey Show, is the lowest rated talk show on air right now. During the November sweeps period, it averaged about 1.4 million viewers.

"After careful consideration, we have decided that 'The Nate Berkus Show' will not return for a third season in the fall," Harpo Studios and Sony Pictures Television said in a joint statement. "We are grateful for the hard work and heart that Nate, [executive producer] Corin Nelson and their entire team have poured into the show, and we're very proud of what they've delivered."

'The Nate Berkus Show's' final episode will air in May 2012.

Berkus' departure leaves the field open for many new talk shows launching in the fall of 2012. Queen Latifah, Jeff Probst, Katie Couric and Ricki Lake are all set to headline their own daytime offerings.

I love this show. He gives us all so many ideas on redoing our homes for cheap. Can't
his time be changed????? Please do not cancel this show.

I will truly miss the Nate show! I've gotten so very many great quick decorating tips and DIY projects to create. He really is a decorating guru and gets the decorating community to come together. What a shame to have to replace his show with chatty she said shows like Kathy Lee and Hoda, the Talk, etc. or reality voyuerism like the Karadashians....truly just mindless junk TV. I miss him already while I'm sipping my afternoon tea.

I am so upset The Nate show is being cancelled! It is the only day time show I record and look forward to watching every day. I will miss him greatly!

I'm upset that the Nate show was cancelled. It's a shame because the information that Nate shared on how to decorate your home on a budget was invaluable. I love going to flea markets, garage/estate sales and finding older, quality items to use in my home. Nate gave me ideas that I would not have thought of on my own. The show was fresh and creative. I watched it every day. Why can['t the big networks ask people what they really want to see and revamp the show so that it is successful rather than just dumping it. It makes no sense to through away something with so much potential. I will really miss it.

They always cancel the really good shows. Living on a limited budget Nate has given me some
great ideas on how i can have nice things without spending alot. I will miss him. Hope that
someone will give him another home on TV.

I love this show, I have gotten so many ideas from Nate, my DVR is set to record him everyday!! I guess in order to stay on tv now you have to curse people out or fight. Losing this show is a big mistake!!
