Are These The Top 10 Shows of 2011? AFI Says So

AFI Top 10 TV Shows 2011'Parks and Recreation' stands very tall next to 'Boardwalk Empire' on the American Film Institute's list of Top 10 TV shows of 2011. Can you imagine a meeting between Leslie Knope and Nucky Thompson?

A who's who of veteran shows and critical darlings filled out the rest of the list, some for the first time. 'The Good Wife,' 'Parks,' 'Louie,' and 'Justified' are all brand new entries to AFI's year-end list.

Showtime's 'Homeland' and HBO's 'Game of Thrones' were the only new 2011 shows to make the list.

Noticeably absent: Fox's 'Glee,' which made the list in 2009 and 2010 and AMC's 'The Walking Dead.'

The list is good except for Curb - I have a feeling nobody watched America Horror Story, so much better than this seasons Curb(which has been on a downslope since the transplant story line).

unlike basic cable below.......i live on HBO-Showtime - Starz ....and Cinemax (Strike Back).......can't do lame network crapola.....works for halfwits..... i'll pass...except , i do watch Person of Interest...and Unforgettable...

I'm all over all of these ...EXCEPT for 3... i'd need to replace for sure, all the network stuff... Good Wife (No way on HBO/Showtime Sunday nights, plus the football time shifts) ....Parks (never)..........& Modern Family, I have watched now and then.....

My #1 show for 2011 was Starz' BOSS.....explosive.... !!!!!
Always a Top 3 is now, DTV's , Damages ...Close is the best female actor on TV !!!
Mad Men** is always aTop 5.... **i'm guessing it aired in 2011 sometime....
Almost Forgot...SUITS was Top 10 !!!!!

Californication is my #1 thirty minute show..... not sure it aired in 2011.... can't wait 'til Jan 8 premier....

First time ever....that Dexter (2011) didn't make my Top 10.......never got INTO Geller /Travis.....characters

I must totally suck at television-watching since I don't watch ANY of those shows, partly because some on are PAY-PER-VIEW networks.
