Duggar Family Names Unborn Child, Plans Services
Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have named their unborn child Jubilee Shalom Duggar. The family learned of the miscarriage after a routine doctor's visit.According to the Hollywood Reporter, the '19 Kids and Counting' family will hold a private memorial service for Jubilee, who would've been the couple's 20th child.
"Earlier today at a routine doctor's appointment, Michelle and I received the sad news that we lost the baby," Jim Bob Duggar said in a statement on Dec. 8. "Michelle is resting comfortably at home with the support of the entire family. We are grateful for all the thoughts and prayers, but ask for privacy during this difficult time."
People originally reported the news of the miscarriage.
This is the Duggars's second miscarriage. Michelle lost a baby during her second pregnancy, which she attributed to using oral birth control, which is why the couple said they decided to leave the number of their kids "up to God."
Michelle's 19th pregnancy with 2-year-old Josie had some complications. There were gallbladder problems and preeclampsia -- when a pregnant woman develops high blood pressure and added protein in her urine -- causing Michelle to give birth to Josie three months early.
