'America's Got Talent' Crowns Season 6 Winner (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 14th 2011 10:54PM
'America's Got Talent' finaleAfter a two-hour season finale that easily felt like it lasted three or four, 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC) crowned its Season 6 winner.

Would it be another solo singing act, which seems to have dominated the past several seasons, or would one of the unique dance groups rise to the top (sorry, POPLYFE, I've already ruled you out of contention)?

Before we found out, each of the final four acts got to perform a duet. Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. perhaps surprised the most by switching up the style of song completely with a more uptempo jam with Patti LaBelle.

'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: Is Piers Morgan Really a Big Softie?

by Michael Maloney, posted Sep 14th 2011 7:00AM
Piers MorganThere were technical difficulties during the performance finale of 'America's Got Talent.' Some backstage doors wouldn't open, which prevented stage hands from removing PopLyfe's set and setting the stage for the Silhouettes.

Producers filled the air time with a pre-taped video segment featuring past auditions while things were corrected. By the time they were, the video segment showing insight into the Silhouettes had to be cut for time.

Those video segments usually feature touching stories about the acts, endearing them to viewers (and voters) in the process.

Will the Silhouettes lose votes and suffer because their segment wasn't shown?

As 'Kate Plus 8' Ends, Kate Sees More TV In Her Family's Future (VIDEO)

Kate Gosselin, 'Kate Plus 8' series finaleIt was the end of an era for Kate Gosselin as the series finale of 'Kate Plus 8' (Mon., 9PM ET on TLC) marked the end of a crazy ride in the spotlight. Gosselin first shot to stardom alongside her husband Jon and their brood of 8 children when 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' premiered in 2007.

By 2009, the pair were on the cover of every tabloid magazine in the country, and their Season 5 premiere netted a record 9.8 million viewers.

But things changed dramatically after that, as the couple split and Jon was dropped from the show. Since then, ratings have declined steadily until TLC pulled the plug after 150 episodes.

'Entourage' Series Finale: (Almost) All Roads Lead to Paris (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 12th 2011 6:05AM
'Entourage' series finaleLast week, Vince helped out his buddies Turtle and Johnny Drama. That left only this week's series finale of 'Entourage' (Sun., 10:30PM ET on HBO) to help Eric and Ari. Could he throw money at their women problems and make them better? And what about his own lady situation?

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

Well, somehow, Vince convinced the reluctant Sophie to marry him. We're talking drop everything and marry him immediately, after a 24-hour date. What was the time gap between last week's episode and this week? It didn't seem to be much, so how on earth did he do that?

She fought tooth and nail against even going on a date with him and now she was ready to marry him just like that? Okay, it was a big ring, but come on?

The Return of 'Evil' Ryan on the 'Wilfred' Season Finale (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 9th 2011 5:28AM
'Wilfred' season finale - 'Identity'The first thought I had when reaching the end of the 'Wilfred' (Thu., 11PM ET on FOX) finale was thank goodness the show's already been picked up for a second season. The entire episode was a fantastic exploration deeper into Ryan than we've gone all season, but the closing moments positively blew my mind.

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

A few weeks back I said I was going to stop trying to figure out what Wilfred represented and what was real and what wasn't. Rather, I was just going to go along for the ride and enjoy myself. But this show just won't let me.

'Suits' Season 1 Finale Preview: Is Harvey's Mission Accomplished? Is Mike's Secret Safe?

by Maggie Furlong, posted Sep 8th 2011 10:00AM
Gabriel Macht & Patrick J. Adams, 'Suits'Confession: I don't really watch any USA shows. Exception: I love 'Suits.'

Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Mike (Patrick J. Adams) have amazing chemistry as the no-nonsense power lawyer and his legal eagle protege with a big secret. And after an entire season of secret-keeping, you can't possibly think they won't end on a cliffhanger, can you? The best part of tonight's finale (Thurs., Sept. 8, 10PM ET on USA) is that it almost makes you forget that Mike never went to law school. Almost.

I'm already ready for Season 2, but first, a quick, spoiler-free preview of the Season 1 finale, and a sneak peek after the jump.

Thanks to last week's big set-up, we know that Harvey is on a mission to right his wrongs and get an innocent man that he helped put away for murder released from prison. But it's not so easy, and his biggest obstacle is District Attorney Wolf (played by the always fabulous Chi McBride), who doesn't feel the need to help Harvey's cause.

Elsewhere there's a ballet ticket bribe, an odd can opener reference and the explosive return of Mike's old buddy -- and his lady Jenny's ex -- Trevor. We also finally find the one fault in Mike's amazing memory, and Harvey takes one for the team ... literally.

'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: What the Four Finalists Need to Do in Order to Win

by Michael Maloney, posted Sep 8th 2011 7:00AM
Il Divo on 'AGT'The four acts competing for the $1 million prize in next week's 'America's Got Talent' finals are: Singer Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., music band POPLYFE, and dance groups Silhouette and Team iLuminate.

A few weeks ago people were betting that singer Anna Graceman and dance team Miami All-Stars would have been shoo-ins for the finals, but poor choices they made on Tuesday's performance show led to either a strike or negative comments from the judges, which likely affected votes.

"The Miami All-Stars were still All-Stars, but they lost the 'Miami,'" offers judge Howie Mandel, referring to the group performing more like they were football cheerleaders in their last routine.

Mandel's fellow judge and nemesis Piers Morgan feels that America got it right in selecting the four finalists that they did. "These are the best four we've had," Morgan says. "I'm really pleased."

What should each act do to win next week? Give more of what they've already shown, or step outside the box and do things that they've never done before?

'Rescue Me' Series Finale Brings Laughs, Tears and Closure (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 8th 2011 1:46AM
After seven seasons, it was the end of the journey for Tommy Gavin on 'Rescue Me' (Wed., 10PM ET on FX).

It's hard to say if it's a great ending or a disappointing ending, but a lot of that depends on your expectations going in. I would say it is definitely a satisfactory ending and, more importantly, a consistent ending.

'Rescue Me' has always been about dark humor, guys being the idiots that guys can be, and moments of danger, violence and occasional poignancy. In that, this finale delivered by being absolutely consistent with what this show has always been about.

'Famous Food' Season Finale Ends With a Twist (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 8th 2011 12:35AM
Reality shows love their dramatic twists, and never is it more dramatic then to throw one at the contestants in the final episode, which is exactly what happened on 'Famous Food' (Wed., 8PM ET on VH1). But on the way to that moment, we learned that Vinny doesn't take constructive criticism well.

He stormed off before the announcement of the winner. His ego got so out of control, he started telling judges Mike Malin and Lonnie Moore of the Dolce Group about how he's a movie star and they should have some respect.

Who knew that being a big-time movie star with a Screen Actor's Guild statue in your house means you know everything about the restaurant business?

Now that the first season of 'The Voice' is officially over, only one question remains: Why do we have to wait so long for Season 2?

'Nurse Jackie'If you haven't seen the season finale of 'Nurse Jackie' (Mon., 10PM ET on Showtime), what are you doing reading this? You should probably click on something else or look quickly at that picture of Jackie over there. She looks pretty shocked, doesn't she?

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

What's shocking to her turned out to be shocking to us as well, when Kevin finally confronted her about what's been weighing on his mind all this time: The affair.

It was only one moment that Jackie's back was against the wall. The other was in the form of a urine test HR insisted all the nurses take that will unequivicably expose her drug problem. With that looming, she was ready for Kevin.

'United States of Tara' Season 3, Episode 12 (Series Finale) Recap

Toni Colette['United States of Tara' - 'The Good Parts']

It's the end of an era -- or at least the end of an excellent, and sadly underwatched, show, one that took more risks and offered more insight into the human psyche than most series could even dream of.

And though 'United States of Tara' suffered an unexpected cancellation after filming for Season 3 was completed, I still found myself satisfied by the way the loose ends were tied up, even though I would've gladly seen the show continue for many years to come if the TV gods answered to me instead of eroding ratings.

'Army Wives' Season Finale: A Sad Farewell and Uncertain Future (VIDEO)

'Army Wives' Season 5 FinaleIt was time to say good-bye to 'Army Wives' (Sun., 9PM ET on Life) as Season 5 drew to a close Sunday night.

And it was also time for the characters to bid a sad farewell to life as they know it: The 23rd Airborne Division is being disbanded and Fort Marshall will be closed.

In 'Farewell to Arms,' Season 5 ended with an emotionally charged toast from Major General Michael Holden (Brian McNamara), who told the assembled guests at the ball that "The 23rd does not die with you Rather, it lives on through you. ... It is our legacy. Be proud of it."

Tamra and Jeana Fight on Season Finale of 'Real Housewives of OC' (VIDEO)

'The Real Housewives of Orange County'Jeana Keough may no longer be an official castmember of 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' (Sun., 10PM ET on Bravo), but that doesn't mean she couldn't be a part of one of the season's biggest blow-outs on the season finale. It all went down at Vicki Gunvalson's annual fall party.

Tamra Barney arrived with a "cyst-and-decease" letter -- at least, that's how she pronounced it -- which she threw in Jeana's face. Tamra took issue with what Jeana had said to the press, but Jeana said the press misrepresented her words. It didn't matter.
