It turns out moonlighting can pay off.

Carolyn Hennesy's been juggling two gigs for the past year -- scene-stealing Barb on 'Cougar Town' and savvy, sexy defense lawyer Diane on 'General Hospital.' The latter has scored her a Daytime Emmy nomination in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress.

"I still think it's all a dream," Hennesy told TV Squad this morning. "It's all surreal. It hasn't hit me yet. It simply hasn't!"

Hennesy made the list last year -- alas, it was a list of 'overlooked' deserving stars who weren't given a nod. This year, however, the actress' performing peers, who are members of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, got it right. "No one is more surprised than me," continues Hennesy, who gives credit for her nom to the 'GH' scribes who've created such a vibrant character.
