Kyle XY
Kyle XY: Leap of Faith (midseason finale)
(S02E13) Last week's episode put the wheels in motion for the midseason finale of Kyle XY. "Leap of Faith" not only answered questions (what was the connection between Adam and that Jessi-looking woman) but also raised tons of new ones (who is keeping Adam alive and why). Even if most of the fans have been pleased with the pace at which the show answers questions, the wait between now and the midseason premiere will be quite long.Kyle XY: Lockdown
(S02E12) "Lockdown" is the episode before the midseason finale (yes, it's already that time of year!). The episode pushed the storylines further in order to set the tone for this coming Monday's episode, "Leap of Faith." Thanks to Nicole setting a lockdown, Andy and Josh came to an understanding, Declan and Lori talked things through, Amanda and Kyle explained one another (well, sort of), and Kyle was able to get guidance for his next move. But let's not forget that the lockdown also had an effect on Nicole and Stephen, who somewhat grew more apart but, in the end, made their way back together.
Kyle XY: Hands on a Hybrid
(S02E11) After two action packed episodes, I expected this week's installment of Kyle XY to be a filler episode. When watching the first minutes of "Hands on a Hybrid," I thought I was right but the rest of the episode proved me wrong. Not only did the episode tell us more about Madacorp's business and how far Ballantine is willing to go, but Kyle and Jessi finally know they are alike.Kyle XY: House of Cards
(S02E10) Sorry for the delay in posting my review of this week's episode. Let's resume it to: Life got in the way. Again this week, Kyle XY entertained us with a great episode that helped further the storyline. The writers are definitely setting the stage for the mid-season finale (aka episode 2.13).Josh tried to get Andy to confide in him. Kyle and Amanda's relationship was put to the test. Emily continued her ploy to have the Tragers think she and Stephen are having an affair (and it worked on Lori). Ballantine got a lot of screen time, and a first name. Foss and Declan had to work together in order to help Kyle. Nicole discovered that Jessi and Kyle may have a lot more in common than just being teenagers... Kyle finds that out too!
Kyle XY: Ghost in the Machine
(S02E09) Oh. My. God. What a fantastic episode! A good number of fans, myself included, had been saying that we thought the season was rather slow, especially the last few episodes. But this week's episode was unlike those last episodes as it was filled with Kyle XY mythology and was action packed.Foss is back! There were a lot of flashbacks with Adam Baylin, Kern, and Bryan Taylor at Zzyxz. And we finally know what Andy has. Sadly, Nicole, Stephen and Emily weren't in the episode but I'm sure we'll soon enough know what they were up to. (What do you think Stephen did on his business trip? Was Emily with him so she could follow through on her mission to take care of him?)
Subtle Subtitles
1st place to Nik:

2nd place to Fred: "C'mon, say it with me: Toga! Toga! Toga!"
3rd place to Rogphi: "What can I say... she's a hard habit to break."
This week, a scene from the latest episode of Kyle XY ...
Kyle XY: What's the Frequency, Kyle?
(S02E08) Even though last week's episode of Kyle XY wasn't filled with mysteries and XX/XY mythology, it did leave us with a few questions and expectations: who was Lori's attacker, will Kyle really reveal everything to Declan, etc. Lucky for us, this week's episode gave us the answers. "What's the Frequency, Kyle?" was a good episode that offered us answers, developed characters more, and gave us a bit more to chew on when Madacorp is concerned.
Kyle XY: Free To Be You and Me
(S02E07) There were no answers to our burning questions in this week's episode (for example, where is Foss and is Emily his wife?), but "Free To Be You and Me" offered some character development. XX and XY finally talked to one another, Jessi made friends, Stephen made a new friend too, we learned more about Andy, Kyle and Amanda had their first date, and Declan and Kyle reconciled.
ABC day 2 preview: Nightline, Kyle XY, Private Practice - TCA report
Today is the last day of the 2007 summer TCA press tour and one of its panels in particular is highly anticipated as ABC rolls out more shows to present to the TV Critics membership.
Shonda Rhimes is coming to the Beverly Hilton today with Kate Walsh, Tim Daly and other cast members of Private Practice to tout the Grey's Anatomy spin-off. But you just know that Rhimes will be asked about the controversial exit of Isaiah Washington from GA at the end of the season.

23rd Annual TCA Awards - Alec Baldwin, The Sopranos and "Moore" - TCA report

John Oliver (The Daily Show) hosted the 23rd Annual TCA Awards, which were given out at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Saturday night.
After being introduced by outgoing TCA president Rob Owen of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Oliver opened the show up with (surprise!) some political humor. Pointing out that vice president Dick Cheney was fully in charge during President Bush's colonoscopy procedure, a ranting Oliver joked, "We should be thankful that we are alive to enjoy this evening!"

Kyle XY: Does Kyle Dream of Electric Fish
(S02E06) An interesting episode title for an interesting episode. According to TV.com's Kyle XY guide, this week's title was inspired by a Philip K. Dick novel titled "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep," which was the inspiration for Bladerunner. Could there be similarities between the book and Kyle XY?In this week's episode, Kyle discovered a new power. Stephen starts work at Madacorp. Jessi begins to have a "normal" life... and gets a boyfriend. Josh realizes that Andy is great. Lori finally sees something through. And, most importantly, a friend is revealed to be ... a foe!
Kyle XY: Come to Your Senses
(S02E05) ABC never planned to air all Kyle XY episodes this summer. However, the network was supposed to air the five first episodes but decided to remove XY from this week's lineup. Fortunately, I had enlisted a friend's help so I would get my XY fix every week even though ABC stopped caring. Thanks to said friend for taping the series for me. This change in my viewing schedule means that starting next week, you should expect my reviews around Wednesdays. This week's episode finally had Jessi's world collide with Kyle's. I doubt that fans were surprised this week by the episode as most of us had already predicted part of what happened.
ABC Family premieres Greek tonight
ABC Family doesn't get the kind of press that some of their edgier neighbors on the cable box enjoy, but I do appreciate that they make their own original programming, especially their penchant for casting Charisma Carpenter. They could have gone the easy route and given us endless reruns of Reba and Home Improvement. Tonight they kick off their latest entry, Greek. The dramedy (their description) is set at the fictitious Cyprus-Rhodes University and is said to follow the social minefield of the greek system.
Kyle XY: Balancing Act
(S02E04) It was inevitable: Kyle would soon have problems juggling between family life and his secret superhuman one. This week's episode was all about that balancing act Kyle must perform. The episode didn't only allow Kyle to work on a new ability and save the say, but also provided Josh and Lori a time to shine. Sadly, "Balancing Act" was XX-less but that doesn't mean that her storyline didn't evolve.Kyle XY: The List Is Life
(S02E03) Are you on the list? In this week's episode of Kyle XY, the teens at school either want to be on the list or not. This year's list is quite revealing and is an eye opener for one of the female characters. This episode offered us good character development and showed us how powerful Madacorp is. From the list to "mind over matter" and not forgetting XX getting a name, episode 2.03 delivered the goods.
