Would You Watch Conan's Show at 7PM?
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 18th 2010 11:33AM
All this talk about Conan O'Brien signing a deal with FOX has overshadowed another possibility for Coco: the coveted... 7PM slot?TheWrap.com is reporting that Conan has actually been approached by two companies about having a syndicated show earlier in the evening. Debmar Mercury (the Tyler Perry sitcoms) and CBS Television Distribution. While it seems that a late night show on FOX would be the more probable scenario, this at least makes things a little more interesting. Could be an interesting alternative to sitcom reruns and 'Inside Edition.'

What You Missed Last Night: Kimmel on Letterman Talking About Leno
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 17th 2010 11:39AM
'Jimmy Kimmel Live' is in reruns this week and that means that Kimmel is free to go on some East Coast talk shows. Last night he was on 'The Late Show' and talked about the whole Leno/Conan/NBC fiasco and his part in all of it. It seems to me that Letterman just enjoyed the whole thing, not in a mean spirited way but just the way that he says here, because it reminded him of old times at comedy clubs.
Letterman Presents the Top Ten Signs You Spend Too Much Time on Twitter
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 16th 2010 1:35PM
Are you on Twitter? Why not? How else will friends, family, and strangers know what you're doing every minute of the day and where you are? (I say this as someone who is on Twitter all day long.) Last night David Letterman presented the "Top Ten Signs You Spend Too Much Time on Twitter." Numbers three and seven are my favorites.
Oh, and here's the answer to number six.

What You Missed Last Night: Crumbums and Fatcats on 'The Daily Show'
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 16th 2010 11:34AM
Jon Stewart goes after both political parties in this clip from last night's episode of 'The Daily Show': Nancy Pelosi, Eric Massa, John Boehner, and several others get some ribbing from Stewart. Then it turns into a discussion of how Washington politics is just like professional wrestling and ends with Stewart on top of his desk pleading for his life.

A Few Details About the New Conan Road Show
by Nick Zaino, posted Mar 11th 2010 4:02PM
The rumors of a Conan O'Brien road show, called the 'Legally Prohibited from Being on Television Tour,' were finally confirmed today (see our post earlier today), but few details have been announced. TV Squad spoke with longtime Conan writer Brian Kiley a couple of weeks ago, when the rumors first started popping up, about what the show might be like. The show was still in the planning stages, and probably still is. But there are a few details we can relate. First of all, don't expect the road show to be a carbon copy of the 'Tonight Show' or of 'Late Night'. "[On] TV, things can be very small," said Kiley. "This stage show is going to have to be big. So I don't think he's going to come out and do a long monologue about current events, for example. I think it's going to be a romp. I think it'll be kind of fun, wacky things. Things we can't do on TV. It should be a very loose, fun show."
What You Missed Last Night: Groping Along with Jon Stewart
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 11th 2010 1:24PM
I don't care about the politics of this clip, I just think the whole thing about the shower and the birthday party and all that is pretty damn odd and funny. Last night on 'The Daily Show,' Jon Stewart talked about the resignation of Congressman Eric Massa and his appearance on Glenn's Beck's show. It involves tickling.

Letterman Tops Leno ... For Good or For Now?
by Danny Gallagher, posted Mar 10th 2010 9:00PM
Does NBC have something to worry about now that Leno is back in the 'Tonight Show' chair or is this just a case of settling the new guy in ... uh, again? Dave Letterman's 'Late Show' scored a 1.3 in the demo ratings while Jay Leno's 'Tonight Show' scored a 1.1 on Monday.
What's to blame? It's the lead-in's fault. CBS had the highest prime time lead-in while NBC finished a distant fourth or as Conan O'Brien would call it, "payback."
Can Leno pull things around or is this a sign of things to come?
Chelsea Handler Bloodies Jimmy Fallon in Martini-Drenched Studio Race
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 10th 2010 5:02PM
I don't think anyone should try to best Chelsea Handler when it comes to anything alcohol-related. Last night Handler and Jimmy Fallon raced around Fallon's studio holding martinis and it didn't end well. Actually, Fallon could have been seriously injured if he had whacked his head on the floor. Still, he did indeed bleed.
