MythBusters

Was it just me, or did Jamie look like he either had a mad sunburn, high blood pressure or was holding his breath for too long last night? Well anyway, in this episode the MythBusters take on just two myths: The Killer Tissue Box and Splitting an Arrow.

Recently, there was talk that some MIT students proved that the once MythBusted myth of the Archimedes Death Ray was actually plausible. The students rigged up their own demonstration of the experiment, which prompted the folks at the Discovery Channel show to invite them to San Francisco to try their experiment on an 80-year-old fishing boat. Despite perfect conditions, the boat never caught fire. I'd love to see the MythBusters invite more guest busters/confirmers to the show, as it's always nice to see a fresh perspective on the myths being tested.

OK, so it's almost a week late, but I just realized this morning, after looking at my Tivo play list, that the new season of MythBusters started last Wednesday. I love this show, and I catch it whenever it's on, so I figured I'd give it a little coverage here once a week. Better starting late than never.
