'Smallville' E.P. Kelly Souders Weighs In on Weddings, Clark's Destiny & the Series Finale

by Laura Prudom, posted Apr 8th 2011 1:00PM
Tom WellingFor 10 years, 'Smallville' has been a mainstay of the ever-evolving WB/CW schedule. Through cast, creative and even network changes, the show has stayed as strong as the iconic Man of Steel at its center, displaying near-Kryptonian resilience as lesser series bowed out around it.

But after a decade of watching mild-mannered alien-turned-farm boy-turned-reporter Clark Kent (Tom Welling) trying to change the world from his diminutive hometown, we've finally reached the home stretch. Superman casts a long shadow, and when the show returns from its final hiatus on April 15, we'll see Clark embrace his destiny like never before.

AOL TV caught up with 'Smallville' executive producer Kelly Souders who, along with producing partner Brian Peterson, is ushering in the end of a 'Super' era. We discussed the long-awaited return of Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum), what's in store for the show's most enduring couples and what fans can expect from the final episodes.

PaleyFest 2011: The 'Supernatural' Cast Talk the Mother of All, Heaven vs. Heaven and a Potential Season 7

by Laura Prudom, posted Mar 14th 2011 10:30AM
Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles

We may be a little biased, but we think that PaleyFest 2011's event to honor the CW's 'Supernatural' was a fairly special occasion. Not only did the hard-working cast -- Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Jim Beaver -- take the time to fly back from filming the show in Vancouver to celebrate the occasion and answer the fans' burning questions, but TV Squad's own Maureen Ryan moderated the panel (and did an excellent job, if we do say so ourselves).

We were able to spend a little time with the cast and executive producers on the press line before the Q&A, and though predictably coy on the subject of spoilers, they were more than willing to drop a tantalizing hint or two about the rest of the season to ensure that we'll be itching with anticipation until the show returns from hiatus on April 15. Where's a time-traveling angel when you need one? Spoilers ahead.

PaleyFest 2011: The 'Parks and Recreation' Cast Talk Romance, Charlie Sheen and the Return of Tammy

by Laura Prudom, posted Mar 10th 2011 12:00PM
Amy PoehlerRumors of Rob Lowe's career suicide have been greatly exaggerated, according to 'Parks and Recreation' executive producer Michael Schur.

Joined by every P&R star except Lowe (who was visiting colleges with his kids and thus couldn't make it to the panel, conspiracy theorists!), Schur used the forum of PaleyFest 2011 to dispel the histrionic online rumor that one of his series regulars would be abandoning ship to replace Charlie Sheen in 'Two and a Half Men'.

"He's a full-time cast member of the show, he has a very long multi-year contract. This is just a case of someone tossing a name up in the air, and then the Internet lit a match and set itself on fire," Schur reassured the full house of 'Parks and Rec' fans gathered to celebrate the NBC comedy, now entering its third season. TV Squad was on hand at the panel and the press line, so join us after the jump for interviews with the cast and details of what's to come for our favorite nutty government employees. PaleyFest 2011: The 'True Blood' Cast Talk Demon Babies, Witches and Season 4

by Laura Prudom, posted Mar 6th 2011 10:30AM
True Blood
'True Blood' took a super-sized bite out of PaleyFest 2011 on Saturday night, as 16 members of the ensemble cast joined creator Alan Ball on stage at the Saban Theatre to celebrate the show's success and drop a few hints about what's in store for season 4.

As well as sitting in on the sold-out panel, TV Squad was on the bustling press line for the event, where we managed to grab a few moments with cast-members such as Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer (Sookie and Bill), Rutina Wesley (Tara), Todd Lowe (Terry), Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica) and Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pam). The 'True Blood' team is notoriously stingy with spoilers thanks to a comprehensive confidentiality agreement, but we did manage to unearth a few hints in regards to next season's storylines.

PaleyFest 2011: 'The Walking Dead' Cast Talk Love Triangles, Action Figures and Season 2

by Laura Prudom, posted Mar 5th 2011 12:00PM
'The Walking Dead' Cast
'The Walking Dead' started PaleyFest 2011 off with a bang (or was it a cry for "braaaaains"?) in Beverly Hills last night, as the cast and creators of the hit AMC show took to the stage of the Saban Theatre to answer -- or artfully sidestep -- many of the fans' burning questions.

The undead drama was the first of many popular shows to be honored by the Paley Center for Media at its 28th annual television festival, with upcoming events set to spotlight 'True Blood,' 'Parks and Recreation,' 'Supernatural,' 'Community' and 'Glee,' to name a few.

Though writer/director/producer Frank Darabont and creator Robert Kirkman were infuriatingly tight-lipped about much of what season two has in store, we were able to glean a few tasty tidbits to whet our appetites for the fresh batch of episodes (13 in total) before their October debut. Join us after the jump for more. Heavy spoilers for the comics and light spoilers for the series ahead.
