by Catherine Lawson, posted Sep 22nd 2011 6:00AM
Bad news for Presidential wannabe Roseanne Barr and the macadamia nut industry: Lifetime has apparently cancelled 'Roseanne's Nuts' after one season.Barr took to Twitter to announce the news and thank fans: "Roseanne's Nuts has been cancelled. thanks everyone for watching!" ... "glad you guys loved #roseannesnuts-@Lifetimetv decided not to renew it."
The reality show followed Barr as she tended her 40-acre macadamia nut farm in Hawaii. It launched in July, initially airing Wednesdays nights, but never caught fire in the ratings and was moved to
Who Won 'Hell's Kitchen'?: Was It Will or Paul? (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 20th 2011 7:00AM
It was the finale of 'Hell's Kitchen' (Mon., 8PM ET on FOX) and just two chefs were left. For their final challenge finalists Will Lustberg and Paul Niedermann needed to develop their own menu for a dinner service. To make things more intense, their staff was made up of eliminated contestants.!!SPOILER ALERT!!
It was fun seeing all those familiar faces bustling around the kitchen, but in the end it came down to two men and two doors. One would open and the other would not. In a blast of confetti and profanity, it was Paul who emerged triumphant.
"We didn't do it for me," he told his assembled friends and family. "We did it for my mom."
T.K. Faces Off Against His Biggest Rival on 'Necessary Roughness' Finale (VIDEO)
by Catherine Lawson, posted Sep 15th 2011 7:55AM
It was play-offs time in 'Necessary Roughness' (Wed., 10PM ET on USA), so everyone had to bring their A game.Unfortunately for the New York Hawks, star player Terence "T.K." King (Mehcad Brooks) has been suffering from panic attacks, and on last night's season finale his state of mind wasn't helped by the fact that he knew he'd be going up against his biggest rival, Maurice "The Minefield" Manningfield (Terrell Owens).
T.K. was chilling at the club when The Minefield showed up. After the pair indulged in some harmless trash-talking Minefield went too far, and T.K. prepared to go toe to toe against him.
'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. Wins!
by Michael Maloney, posted Sep 15th 2011 7:00AM
Cliché as it sounds, there were only winners on last night's 'America's Got Talent' Season 6 finale.Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., as judge Howie Mandel accurately predicted on Tuesday's performance show, won the competition and the show's $1 million prize. "I am the great predictor," Mandel quips.
Dance group Silhouettes came in second. Dance group Team iLuminate was third. Rock band POPLYFE came in fourth, but you'd never know it by the jubilation they were feeling after the show. The band members were still ecstatic over getting to perform with the legendary Stevie Wonder, an experience they'll take with them forever.
"I'll take it with me as well," Wonder told AOL TV on the post show press line. "They are a group that is committed to staying together and not letting anyone break them apart. I feel that's how we should be as a nation. I'm excited that they allowed me to be a part of their group."
Man Rejects $250,000 Offer For Antique Car on 'Buried Treasure' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 15th 2011 4:00AM
The Keno brothers wrapped the inaugural season of 'Buried Treasure' (Wed., 8PM ET on FOX) with a look at a rare classic car: A 1922 Mercer Raceabout. However, they were surprised by the reaction of the owner when he finds out how much someone would be willing to pay for it.Particularly, because the Kenos brought in an antique cars dealer and he was ready to make an offer right then and there. When Joe, the car's owner, balked at $220,000, the dealer raised it to a quarter of a million dollars.
"I really don't think that's what I want," Joe said, later adding, "Not for that price."
Did Adam, Porsche or Rachel Win 'Big Brother 13'? (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 15th 2011 2:16AM
It went by so fast. It seems like just yesterday Rachel was crying on 'Big Brother' (Wed., 9:30PM ET on CBS) and driving everyone at home and in the house crazy. And now here she is in the finale with probably the best chance of winning between the Final Three. But first, she has to win the last HOH competition!!!SPOILER ALERT!!
It's been a while since we checked in with the Houseguests, and while we were away, Rachel walked away with the win in Round One of a three-part HOH competition. When it comes to simply hanging onto things, nobody seems able to touch her. Adam gave up quickly, while Porsche hung in there until she was about to hurl.
'America's Got Talent' Crowns Season 6 Winner (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 14th 2011 10:54PM
After a two-hour season finale that easily felt like it lasted three or four, 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC) crowned its Season 6 winner.Would it be another solo singing act, which seems to have dominated the past several seasons, or would one of the unique dance groups rise to the top (sorry, POPLYFE, I've already ruled you out of contention)?
Before we found out, each of the final four acts got to perform a duet. Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. perhaps surprised the most by switching up the style of song completely with a more uptempo jam with Patti LaBelle.
Jeff Lewis Catches Trace in a Lie on the 'Flipping Out' Reunion (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 14th 2011 3:32AM
Even though they were fired during the regular season run of 'Flipping Out' (Tue., 9PM ET on Bravo). Sarah and Trace were brought back for the reunion. But if Trace thought he was going to be able to air any grievances he has toward Jeff Lewis, he was mistaken.Instead, Jeff immediately called him out on a lie and then went to town. Andy Cohen asked if Trace was in touch with any of his former clients from when he worked for Jeff. Doing so would put him in breach of contract.
When Trace said no, Jeff called him on the lie immediately, citing a client by name he'd been in contact with multiple times. With the camera on Trace's face, we could see the wheels spinning as he tried to come up with a way to talk his way out of the lie, but it ultimately didn't work.
'Bachelor Pad': Top 5 Awkward Moments in the Season Finale
by Laura Prudom, posted Sep 13th 2011 5:00AM
Another tear-stained season of 'Bachelor Pad' has come to a close, filled with more fights, more feuds, and more than a few revelations (even though many of them were ruined by the media long before the episode actually aired).Jake and Vienna, Vienna and Kasey, Melissa and Blake, Blake and Holly, Holly and Michael, Erica and gavel -- it's hard to keep track, but by gum, I tried!
Summer is most certainly over and we have blah-blah-Ben to "look forward to" as our next 'Bachelor,' so let's savor the trashy triumph of 'BP' while we still can and look back at the top five most awkward moments from the 'Bachelor Pad' season finale.
Riley Falls for an Amish Guy on Rumspringa on 'Friends with Benefits' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 12th 2011 12:41AM
NBC wrapped the inaugural run of 'Friends With Benefits' (Fri., 8PM ET on NBC) this past Friday with a special guest appearance from 'Greek's Cappie. But Scott Michael Foster wasn't the same party-loving frat boy we came to know and love there ... at least, he wasn't when Riley tracked him down after their fling. But that's because old Cappie, now Daniel, was a fine, upstanding member of an Amish community. Riley was simply one of the best parts of his Rumspringa. While it's generally not as crazy as depicted on television, this is a time of adolescence for many young Amish that can be a bit more lax on the rules.
Lifetime Cancels 'The Protector'
by Catherine Lawson, posted Sep 9th 2011 5:30AM
Bad news for fans of dramas about female cops. It's been announced that Lifetime has pulled the plug on newbie series 'The Protector.'According to Deadline, the network declined to order a second series after the drama failed to catch fire with audiences.
Originally airing on Sunday nights, 'The Protector' attracted only 1.9 million viewers for its June 12 premiere. It later moved to Mondays after failing to hang onto around 50 percent of its lead-in audience.
One More Out, Which Three Remain on 'Big Brother'? (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 9th 2011 1:05AM
On Wednesday's show, Kalia left the house, which left two veterans facing off against two newbies on 'Big Brother' (Thu., 9PM ET on CBS). Adam won the Head of Household competition, but it didn't really matter because the real power this week lay in the Veto competition.!!SPOILER ALERT!!
When it came to decision time, Adam put up Porsche and Jordan, giving the reason that neither had yet to win the Power of Veto, so he was giving them the chance to take themselves off the block. Porsche promptly took him up on the offer, and suddenly the newbies found themselves again in power in this game.
Cast Recalls Mike Flipping Out Over Constant Bed Pranks on 'The Challenge' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 8th 2011 3:33AM
MTV trotted out the cast of 'The Challenge: Rivals' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV) one more time for another special. This one spotlighted moments we may not have seen during the show's initial run, with additional commentary from the cast. One of the ongoing gags during the season was the tormenting of Mike in his bed. We're not sure why he was picked for this almost nightly ritual, but he put up with it longer than most of us would have before he completely lost it.
The main instigator was Johnny, who apparently has no self-control. When Mike finally blew up, he yelled to Johnny, "You act like you're f****** seven! Grow the f*** up!"
Il Divo Performs, Four Acts Move Forward on 'America's Got Talent' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 8th 2011 1:02AM
Was it perhaps bittersweet for Lys Agnes to watch Il Divo perform, sticking to their opera roots, to such applause on 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 9PM ET on NBC). The four sounded fantastic, easily filling the theater with their rich harmonies. They were on hand to provide some much needed happiness on a tense night as six acts were sent home and four making it through to next week's finale episodes. I can be proud that I almost got it right, but I missed by one.
!!SPOILER ALERT!!
'Big Brother': Eviction, Plus Shelly Faces Jeff in Jury House (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 8th 2011 12:48AM
It was a packed hour of 'Big Brother' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) on a special Wednesday eviction episode. Thursday night brings yet another eviction, in anticipation of next Wednesday's live finale, so from her on out, every moment counts.!!SPOILER ALERT!!
When we last left the Houseguests, Rachel had secured HOH and given the power back to the veterans. While Julie Chen might think this is "against all odds," that Pandora's Box the producers concocted had a lot to do with it, though Porsche certainly didn't have to open it.
