'Famous Food' Season Finale Ends With a Twist (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 8th 2011 12:35AM
Reality shows love their dramatic twists, and never is it more dramatic then to throw one at the contestants in the final episode, which is exactly what happened on 'Famous Food' (Wed., 8PM ET on VH1). But on the way to that moment, we learned that Vinny doesn't take constructive criticism well.

He stormed off before the announcement of the winner. His ego got so out of control, he started telling judges Mike Malin and Lonnie Moore of the Dolce Group about how he's a movie star and they should have some respect.

Who knew that being a big-time movie star with a Screen Actor's Guild statue in your house means you know everything about the restaurant business?

Did POPLYFE Dance and Sing Their Way Into the 'AGT' Finale? (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 7th 2011 2:07AM
POPLYFE, 'America's Got Talent'The top ten acts on 'America's Got Talent' (Tue., 9PM ET on NBC) certainly gave America something to think about. With only four of them moving on to next week's finale, they weren't making it easy to pick which ones deserved it most. At the most, I'd say two acts completely blew it this week and two acts failed to improve.

The first misfire came when Lys Agnes once again abandoned the opera style that made us love her and tackled Aerosmith's 'Dream On.' Her voice sounded all kinds of weird in the lower register and it never really recovered.

A Second Pandora's Box and Celebrity Guest Make for 'Big Brother' Fun (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 6th 2011 12:31AM
'Big Brother 13'It was make or break for the veterans at this week's Head of Household competition on 'Big Brother' (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS). When the live episode ended, it looked like Rachel and Adam were in the lead, with Porsche's ally Kalia bringing up the rear.

As we all probably expected, Rachel pulled out the victory and took control of the house officially for her and Jordan at this critical time in the game. So what we had to deal with this week was the newbies grovelling to Rachel, which had her giving that creepy smile with the dead eyes over and over again.

'Big Brother' Eviction, Jeff and Daniele's Arrival at Jury House (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 2nd 2011 5:57AM
'Big Brother 13' Jury HouseIn what could turn out to be the most important day in the 'Big Brother' (Thu., 9PM ET on CBS) house, it was down to Adam or Shelly for eviction. Porsche's greed absolutely saved the veterans when she forced the duo twist back into the competition for a week, and Rachel subsequently won the POV.

Rachel is a big threat in challenges anyway, so she was going to be difficult to get rid of anyway. Giving her the power to also save Jordan when there are only six people in the house is 'Big Brother' suicide. Especially with Porsche the outgoing HOH, because she's probably the strongest challenge competitor in the house besides Rachel, and she can't play.

Ali Dee Follows Her Dreams to Nashville on 'Texas Women' Finale (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 2nd 2011 2:01AM
Ali Dee, 'Texas Women'Ali Dee celebrated her record release and made a big decision about her future on the season finale of 'Texas Women' (Thu., 10PM ET on CMT). Her dream is to make it big in country music, but she feels to do that she needs to be in Nashville instead of Dallas.

So she made the bold move to just do it. She packed up her things and headed out onto the road to follow her dreams, which is a bolder move than most people are able to make. Win or lose, she'll be able to say that she absolutely gave it her all.

Even better, she was out the door with the right attitude about what it's going to take. "If everything goes as planned, I'll be hitting the road going to every single little town, big town, wherever I can go to play my music," she said optimistically. "So the work starts now."

A Winner and a Surprise Twist on Finale of 'Sweet Home Alabama' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 2nd 2011 1:52AM
'Sweet Home Alabama'Having already eliminated all the city slickers from the competition, it was down to a couple of more familiar and comfortable southern boys for Devin Grissom on the season finale of 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Thu., 9PM ET on CMT).

The pressure wasn't nearly as high as on other dating shows either, as no one was expecting a proposal or a ring.

This was just a huge dating game for her to pick a guy to maybe start dating and see where it goes. She had it narrowed down to Tribble Reese, who's sort of city-southern, and Adam Moyer, a horse trainer from Tennessee who's all country.

Heidi Montag's Guests Nearly Ruin Soft Opening on 'Famous Food' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 1st 2011 9:40AM
Heidi Montag, 'Famous Food'Guess who's not going to win 'Famous Food' (Wed., 8PM ET on VH1)? With the finale next week, and the grand opening in this week's episode, this was the time to step it up and prove why you're the best celebrity business partner possible for this venture.

Heidi Montag didn't even begin to do that. Then, at the soft opening, her own friends and PR team made things worse by apparently "performing" for the camera. You have to think that most of Heidi's publicity in recent years has been negative, so that must be what her team cultivates and thinks works.

So they went into a very dramatic monologue about how horrific the food was, and yet no one else there was having such a problem. Then, when Heidi was confronted with this news, she simply denied the reality of it.

Susan Boyle Performs, Top 10 Revealed on 'America's Got Talent' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 1st 2011 1:56AM
Susan Boyle, 'America's Got Talent'As one of the most unexpected superstars to come out of 'Britain's Got Talent,' Susan Boyle is an inspiration to anyone seeking success and stardom via a talent competition. So it was completely appropriate and properly uplifting for her to come and perform on 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 9PM ET on NBC).

While Boyle wasn't as commanding vocally as she has been in the past, she still knows how to command a crowd, and she was able to give that emotional boost the contestants need at this late stage of the competition.

Nominations, POV and Duos Wreak Havoc on 'Big Brother' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 1st 2011 1:04AM
'Big Brother 13'Porsche and the newbies had the game in the bag when Porsche won HOH on 'Big Brother' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS). Put up Rachel and Jordan and then no matter what you can evict one of them. But then Porsche had to go and get greedy and open Pandora's Box.

As we know, this re-implemented the duos twist for one week, thus creating a solid unit out of Jordan and Rachel. Now all they needed to do was win the Power of Veto challenge and the producers couldn't have picked one better-suited for the Veterans.

'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: Should Piers Morgan's Buzzer Be Silenced?

by Michael Maloney, posted Aug 31st 2011 7:00AM
GymkanaTake it from someone who's sat in the audience at 'America's Got Talent' -- the judges' buzzers sound even louder in person. So when trigger-happy judge Piers Morgan hits that red "X" button performers can understandably become rattled.

Therefore, Morgan striking acrobatic act Gymkana may have caused the performers' concentration to fail, which could have have contributed to one of the team's members catching fire when he jumped through a ring of flames.

Host Nick Cannon informed viewers at home (after a commercial break) that the Gymkana acrobat was okay thanks to his flame-retardant outfit.

Morgan quipped that by striking the act he was trying to end it early, thus potentially saving lives. But fellow judges Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne, as well as Cannon, say they wouldn't mind Morgan's buzzer being disconnected.

'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: J Chris Newberg on His Piers Morgan Roast

by Michael Maloney, posted Aug 18th 2011 12:00PM
J Chris Newberg
Singer/musician J Chris Newberg, who brilliantly roasted 'America's Got Talent' judge Piers Morgan on Tuesday's Wild Card show, was reminded of an old show biz adage when he failed to advance to the semi-finals in last night's results program.

"Dying is easy, comedy is hard."

Newberg's act seemed like a shoe-in to continue on in the competition since Morgan's been giving Simon Cowell a run for his money as the reality competition series judge you love to hate the most.

Morgan gave a strike to four different acts on Tuesday's show (including one, not surprisingly, to Newberg) while fellow judges Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel refrained from giving any.

While Morgan himself couldn't help but laugh at a few of the digs, is it possible that Newberg went too far in his opening remark?

The Debauchery Begins on 'The Challenge: Rivals' (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Aug 11th 2011 7:45AM
'The Challenge: Rivals'Things reached breaking point for the contestants on 'The Challenge: Rivals' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV) and spiralled down into filth. Literally.

The debauchery that broke out in the house is a familar sight for fans of the long-running reality show.

It's like at a certain point, after being cooped up for so long, everyone loses their minds. And their clothes. And their dignity.

Amid the booze, brawls, boobs and butts, Tyler just happened to lose all of his clothes somehow, and someone pooped in Cara Maria's bed. How lovely.

'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: Did Piers Morgan Buzz a Little Girl Because of Nick Cannon's Dare?

by Michael Maloney, posted Aug 11th 2011 7:00AM
Breena Bell The audience at home mostly has the final say on whether or not an act progresses to the next round on 'America's Got Talent,' but a strike ("X") from the judges is still pretty much the kiss of death for a competitor.

None of the six performers/acts from Tuesday night that received a dreaded red buzz from judges Piers Morgan (who gave five) and Howie Mandel (who gave one) are advancing to the semi-finals.

The lucky ones that did advance include dancer Beth Ann Robinson, bicyclist Matt Willheim, circus performers Gymkana and singer Kevin Colis.

Morgan pretty much sealed the fate of agile tumbler Breena Bell when he gave her a strike on Tuesday's show.

Why'd he do it?

Rebecca Black performs 'Friday' on 'America's Got Talent' (VIDEO)

by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 11th 2011 2:10AM
Rebecca Black - America's Got TalentMost contestants on 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 9PM ET on NBC) can only dream of having the kind of overnight success that singer Rebecca Black has enjoyed thanks to her earworm single 'Friday' -- but does she actually have talent?

The jury's still out on that one, and there was nothing particularly spectacular about her vocals on stage, but the kid seems determined to have her 15 minutes of fame no matter what the haters say, and if people keep buying, Black will keep selling.

Danielle Takes Ashley Down on 'Famous Food' (VIDEO)

by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 11th 2011 1:50AM
Famous Food Danielle StaubFormer New York Post columnist Ashley Dupre may be sharp on paper, but when it comes to a war of words, Danielle Staub doesn't go down without a fight.

On last night's 'Famous Food' (Wed., 8PM ET on VH1), Staub took issue with the rest of the team's decision to alter her menu, and Dupre wisely decided it was better to let the former Real Housewife vent than to try shouting back.
