EXCLUSIVE Sneak Peek: The 'CLUE' Reboot Is Seriously Action-Packed

by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 10th 2011 11:00AM
ClueProfessor Plum in the conservatory with a candlestick? Not exactly -- this ain't your parents' Clue.

Based on the classic board game and subsequent cult favorite movie (seriously, that cast was brilliant), The Hub is airing 'CLUE,' a new five-part miniseries that looks way more action-packed than someone being shot with a revolver in the billiard room of a creepy old mansion.

We've got an exclusive sneak peek at the miniseries (premieres Mon., Nov. 14 with back-to-back episodes at 8PM and 8:30PM ET; new episodes premiere each night that week), showing what six young modern-day sleuths are capable of in the age of new technology.

Take a look and tell us: Will you watch this new re-imagining?

EXCLUSIVE 'Gold Rush' Sneak Peek: Will Fights Tear the Family Apart? (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 9th 2011 10:00AM
Jack Hoffman, 'Gold Rush'You've probably seen ads touting 'Gold Rush' as the #1 show on TV, and they aren't joking -- last week's episode topped the ratings in all of primetime for men ages 18-49.

What keeps the viewership so high? Drama. We've got an exclusive clip of this week's new episode (Fridays, 9PM ET on Discovery) featuring an argument between father-son gold miners Jack and Todd Hoffman.

Todd's got a new D8 bulldozer that'll hopefully help give the guys a win. "It's a do-or-die situation for a lot of these guys -- and for me also," says Todd's dad Jack. "If we don't get gold this time, we're in trouble." But that doesn't stop him from driving the dozer around like a toy.

Todd gets mad but still manages to censor himself instead of really laying into his dad. ("No shoot, Sherlock!" is a new personal favorite.) But dad Jack is not as reserved: "I don't give a f***!"

Will Jack give up on the dream? Will the father-son fighting make things harder on the crew? Watch this clip to see more ...

Brett Ratner Out as Oscar Producer

by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 8th 2011 7:50PM
Brett RatnerIs Brett Ratner having the worst week ever? This latest news might be the biggest blow in a series of headline-grabbing events for the director: The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that he's officially withdrawn from co-producing the 84th annual Academy Awards.

Ratner's bad week started off with his latest movie, 'Tower Heist,' coming in second place in the box office on its opening weekend, well behind reigning cartoon cat 'Puss in Boots.' 'Puss' snagged $33 million in its second weekend, while 'Heist' underperformed with a mediocre $25.1 million debut. The crime caper comedy reportedly cost around $75 million to make, and marked Eddie Murphy's return to the land of PG-13 movies alongside an all-star cast that includes Ben Stiller.

Ratner made matters worse by using a gay slur while talking about 'Tower Heist' at a Q&A for the movie over the weekend, saying "rehearsals are for fags." The Internet immediately pounced on the comment, landing the already controversial director in even more hot water.

EXCLUSIVE First Look: Billy Ray Cyrus Visits '90210'

by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 4th 2011 11:00AM
Billy Ray Cyrus on 90210'90210' is headed to Sin City, and we've got the exclusive first look at guest star Billy Ray Cyrus.

Next week's episode, titled 'Vegas, Maybe?' (Tues., Nov. 8, 8PM ET on The CW), finds Naomi going all the way to Las Vegas to try to impress Austin's (Justin Deeley) dad, country music superstar Judd Ridge, played by Cyrus.

Also guest starring: 'Jersey Shore' roommate Vinny Guadagnino, who's not playing himself but rather another "celebrity" the guys meet at the pool.

And it sounds like Vegas gets everyone in the mood to gamble a bit, with Liam joining a celebrity poker tournament and Dixon and Adrianna's flirtation growing even stronger. (Ugh.) However, the biggest wow moment goes to Teddy (departing series star Trevor Donovan), who may or may not be going to the chapel to tie the knot with boyfriend Shane.

Check out the full picture of Billy Ray Cyrus -- and his doppleganger -- after the jump.

'The Vampire Diaries' - Rebekah'The Vampire Diaries' is flashing back again! This time we're going back about 1,000 years to see Rebekah's past and the origins of her tumultuous relationships with her brothers Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies), whom we haven't seen since last season.

We've got some exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from tonight's episode, titled 'Ordinary People' (Thurs., Nov. 3, 8PM ET on The CW), that prove one thing: Rebekah (Claire Holt) sure does like to braid her hair.

This episode finds Rebekah revealing a few ancient secrets about the Original family. But will the revelations keep Rebekah from getting into an all-out brawl with Elena (Nina Dobrev)? There's some serious 'Mean Girls' stuff going on here, and we're sort of loving it.

'Happy Endings' Preview: Fred Savage, a Steak Me Home Tonight Commercial & More

by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 2nd 2011 3:30PM
Tonight's episode of 'Happy Endings' (Wed., Nov. 2, 9:30PM ET on ABC) is one I've really been looking forward to. Fred Savage -- yes, Fred Savage of 'Wonder Years' and 'Princess Bride' fame -- not only directed this episode but also stepped in front of the cameras for a quick cameo playing himself.

I visited the 'Happy' set while they were shooting this episode, titled 'Lying Around,' which finds Savage randomly interrupting a date that Alex (Elisha Cuthbert) is on. We'll also see Dave (Zachary Knighton) taking his food truck to the next level. Yep, that's right, we're talking about a Steak Me Home Tonight commercial. Only problem? Dave is horrible on camera, and Max (Adam Pally) might not be that great behind the camera either. (Couldn't they have gone super meta and had Savage direct the commercial within the show, too?)

EXCLUSIVE: 'Castle' Is Heading to Atlantic City, But Beckett's on Desk Duty

by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 2nd 2011 12:00PM
Castle, Heartbreak HotelA few weeks back, we broke the news about 'Desperate Housewives' alum Richard Burgi heading to 'Castle.' Now we've got an exclusive sneak peek at his episode, titled 'Heartbreak Hotel.'

In the episode (airs Mon., Nov. 7, 10PM ET on ABC), Castle and the guys are off to Atlantic City ... for a case, of course. But while they're having fun -- I mean, working hard -- in what Castle calls "the East coast epicenter of dancing, gambling, showgirls and sin," Beckett's got the new boss lady to deal with back at the precinct.

The new Captain ("sir," if you're going to address her directly) is still trying to get her bearings with this bunch. At first, she was all over Castle, but now it looks like she's starting to see his worth -- and has moved on to questioning Beckett's skills. "I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do without him."

We'll go ahead and bet on Beckett proving that her case-cracking skills are unparalleled, with or without Castle. Take a peek at next week's 'Castle' and tell us what you think ...

'Community' Star Chevy Chase Previews This Week's Episode, 'Advanced Gay'

by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 2nd 2011 11:00AM
Chevy Chase, 'Community' - 'Advanced Gay'Sometimes I only have to hear the title of a 'Community' episode to know I'll love it. That's the case with this week's 'Advanced Gay' (Thurs., Nov. 3, 8PM ET on NBC).

I'd heard about 'RuPaul's Drag Race' stand-out Shangela guest starring, but when I visited the 'Community' set and saw rainbow flags everywhere and a script with that fabulous title on it, I got really excited.

And finding out that Shangela's scenes would be with Greendale's most inappropriate, unfiltered, racist, gaycist student, Pierce Hawthorne (Chevy Chase)? People, it doesn't get more awkward than this.

So I broke my 'Community' set visit streak -- no matter how many times I've been on that set, I never seem to talk to Chase -- and got a little scoop about Pierce's lesson in advanced gay from the man himself. Keep reading for more ... including Chase spouting terms like "a gay," "a straight" and "a tranny" in the most Hawthorne-ian of ways.

Kris Humphries & Kim Kardashian in happier timesJust over 1,700 hours, or 103,680 minutes, or 72 days -- that's how long Kim Karadashian's marriage to Kris Humphries lasted. Even their whirlwind three-month-long engagement was longer than their newlywed bliss.

We're not judging -- OK, maybe just a little -- but there are so many other monumental things that have happened and happen every day that are a much better use of 72 days' time.

Here, an eclectic list of things that take 72 days to accomplish, just in case these two decide to put things into perspective one day.

Was Kim Kardashian's Marriage Bad for Business?

by Maggie Furlong, posted Oct 31st 2011 3:30PM
Kim Kardashian and Kris HumphriesIt's over. Finished. No mas.

No, I'm not talking about anything earth-shattering, life-threatening or even all that surprising, but the big news today that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have already filed for divorce after only 72 days of marriage is just that: big news.

People can (and will) talk about this for days -- weeks! months even! -- trying to analyze the situation and pinpoint exactly what went wrong, but the truth of the matter is it's probably a lot more cut-and-dry than anyone knows. The marriage was simply bad for business.

From the pressure on Kim to change her last name (the nerve!) to their inability as a couple to secure their own spin-off series on E!, the writing was on the wall. Let's take a look and see why this marriage was doomed from the start to decide who, if anyone, will come out on top.

'True Blood' Star Kristin Bauer Gets Even Witchier for 'Once Upon a Time'

by Maggie Furlong, posted Oct 29th 2011 11:00AM
Kristin Bauer on 'Once Upon a Time'Fairy tale fans, make room for Maleficent!

'True Blood''s resident bitch in heels, Kristin Bauer van Straten, is stopping by 'Once Upon a Time' (Sun., Oct. 30, 8PM ET on ABC) to play someone even witchier. Maleficent is best known as the dark and twisted villainess of 'Sleeping Beauty,' but on ABC's new fairy tale drama, she'll face off with Lana Parilla's Evil Queen.

I caught up with Bauer -- who teased me with 'True Blood' Season 5 knowledge before I could even beg for it -- to hear more about the self-proclaimed "Mistress of all Evil" and her equally evil TV rival.

She also teased a possible return to the fairy tale land, and admitted which fellow guest star made her go all fangirl.

EXCLUSIVE Sneak Peek: TLC's 'Sister Wives' Swap Kids

by Maggie Furlong, posted Oct 28th 2011 1:00PM
TLC's 'Sister Wives' gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at a very unique American family: Kody Brown, his four wives and their now 17 kids are your typical polygamist family, but for most people, it's considered an unorthodox lifestyle.

In our exclusive sneak peek from this week's episode (Sun., Oct. 30, 9PM ET), we see a storyline that might be the show's most controversial yet. Wife Christine admits that she doesn't get along with her eight-year-old daughter Ysabel -- "I know it's ridiculous to butt heads with an eight-year-old, but we do" -- so Ysabel is packing her bags and moving in with other wife Meri.

"Christine gets disrespect from Ysabel, and it's the funniest thing ... " Kody says during one confessional, before Christine promptly corrects him. "It is not the funniest thing."
