This is a real shame that they had to change the show. Big mistake only picking 11 finalist and then on top of that bringing back past finailist to dance with them. Really ruined what the show was about. Finding new faces and letting us pick the winners, Think after this first show with the old people coming to dance with the new ones i am going to sit out this season. I just hate that, i really was a fan now i have to rethink it.

I have loved watching American Idol since season 5, ******* lost a lot of appeal with the addition of Kara Dioguardi. She is a self-centered prima donna, who's idiotic behavior is embarrassing. Please either get rid of her or remind her that this is not a show about her...she is supposed to be giving the contestants constructive criticism. She has none of Paula's loveability to fall back on. Please know that many, many viewers feel this way.

I would like to watch this show but there is no way I can take more than 2 minutes of that Mary Murphy. Where does she come from? Did you just need a screeching moron. Put someone with a little class on there.

NIGEL IS A JERK!!!! Telling the fans to shut up...where does he get off. If it was not for the fans his show would be GONE...An why so MEAN this season...trying to be SIMON...It just stinks for the kids who are looking tio him for style and class and the fans who what to be heard...He will not do well with the fans from this point forward. Get someone esle who is not an idoit.

I'm 69 years old and I've lived in USA all my life. I've seen the jive dance in person and Gene Kelley and all his friends in film for years. Please be advised that Evan's arms and hands were perfectly authentic for that dance !!! I think he showed sooooo much class and humility to stand there week after week and be verbally compared to other dancers. I don't remember any other dancer being singled out like that for so many weeks. It was really obvious who your favorite dancer was. Brandon sure did dance by the book.................he looked just like a lot of other dancers that read the same book. If anyone should get 1st place, it should be Jeanne. She did her own thing and it was beautiful !!!

I have never written in a blog but after watching this evenings show I felt I had to. OK, so Evan is not the judges favorite. But every single time the man performed the judges were critical. I know this is a competition and the most talented should win. And each performer brings their own strenghts. B ut I did not hear the judges say who "Took it " when the girls danced. I feel they should have supported Evan's strengths not negatives.. And yes give standing ovations and high praise for the amazing techniques, risks and perfection of the other 3. As they should. It is almost as if they didn't trust the voters so they were less than encouraging every time...and Evan graciously accepted their criticism. We know the judges felt perhaps this was not their final foutr but give everyone recognition for their hard work and talents.

WHAT IS UP WITH MIA???????????????????I cannot get my head around her NOT constructive critique but just personal and mean . Is there an alcohol or drug problem???her behavior seems to demonstrate that.I absolutely love this show and for the first time we call each other even more because it is just plain mean and ya know God love you but with all that is going on I just don't want any part of people...judges who are mean just because than can..Love you guys but no thank you after this week. I am sure I will not be missed but just want something enjoyable to watch,with not yet another show where being personal and nasty is ok..I truly wish that you had risen to a higher standard like last year. Hi I'm a 44 yr male who watches these talent based shows like American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. When I think of the host of these shows I really have to take my hat off to Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy. They both are very gracious and kind people. They really consider peoples feelings when they critique the contestants and are very respectful and generous when deserving. I rarely hear an unkind word from either of them and when there is it's usally because of the contestants lack of maturity and respect that should be shown in this type of arena. I'm also impressed with how they(epecially Nigel) handle contestants who have heart and sincerity but have some disability or lack the skills to really be in this contest. They don't waste peoples time, but are generous to deserving contestant who are willing to give it their all. Thanks Nigel and Mary for being kind and generous host as well as having an great eye for talent. Your a joy to watch.
