Worst: Tie One On

Sandra Oh's golden strapless gown is positively stunning, but what is going on with that low-slung skinny belt? It cuts her already petite frame in half, and makes us wish she'd gone without.

Best: Baring It All

Sorry jewelers -- blame it on the economy, but looks like the ladies have scaled back on the usual excessive-gem look. There were quite a few beauties with bare necks on the red carpet, from Tina Fey and Heidi Klum to Jenna Fischer, Kate Walsh and Julie Benz.

Worst: Vested Interest

Jon Cryer might've taken home the award for best supporting actor in a comedy, but he's not getting any praise for his ensemble. Mixing it up is one thing, but adding a striped knit vest over his striped tie? We give it two and a half thumbs down.

Best: Jeepers Peepers

We love a sharp pair of spectacles on a man. Stars like Rainn Wilson, Kevin Bacon and Jerry Ferrara pull them off with ease, but to see Justin Timberlake taking the trend to the next level at the Emmys, well ... the man can do no wrong.

Worst: Future's So Bright

We get it -- it's very sunny in L.A. But hundreds of other celebs managed to walk the red carpet sans their signature shades, so why can't you? And yes, we mean you Glenn Close. Bill Paxton, consider this your first strike.

Best: Take a Bow

There were several twists on the tux and tie this year, but our favorite dapper gent accessorizing came from David Boreanaz and his classic bowtie. No adjusting needed, David -- it looks perfect.

Worst: Don't 'Dos

There were quite a few messy hairstyles on the red carpet -- chalk it up to the hot weather in L.A. -- but the most notably mussed were on the noggins of Lisa Edelstein, Hayden Panettiere, Christina Hendricks and Mary-Louise Parker. Get a brush.

Best: Color Pops

There was plenty of black and white on the red carpet, so the pops of color we did see were very welcome -- thank you Mindy Kaling, Carrie Preston, Tracy Pollan, Jessica Lange and Anna Torv.

Worst: Making It Look Effortless

Chevy Chase gets the award for least effort on the red carpet. Old suit? Check. Ratty t-shirt? Oh yeah. Sunglasses to show how little you really care? He's got 'em. Guess he's not too eager to plug his work on 'Community' for next year's nominations.

Best: Swing From Them

What better way to look glowing on Emmys night than to wear sparkly baubles to frame your face? Dangly earrings showed up on everyone -- Amy Poehler, Leighton Meester, Tina Fey, Cat Deeley, Shoreh Aghdashloo and more.
