Thank goodness the TV Gods moved Philipps out of ho-hum roles (like Audrey on 'Dawson's Creek') and bestowed upon her the out-there role of Laurie on 'Cougar Town.' She's been given the chance to really shine as the resident partier/drinker/philanderer to Courteney Cox's more straight-laced Jules. (Prep for Season 3! Ziplining! Ankle bracelet!) Philipps is a natural comic foil, and she's responsible for most of the truly funny moments on this show.
