Where We Left Off: Klaus successfully lifted the (faux) sun/moon curse and is now half vampire, half werewolf and 100 percent evil. He got Stefan back on the sauce (a.k.a. human blood) and left town. Elena kissed Damon, who was on his death bed, but he got better thanks to Katherine. Oh, and there's the little matter of Jeremy being haunted by his two dead vampire ex-girlfriends, Vicki and Anna.

What's Next: Those undead exes will return to wreak a little havoc in Jer's relationship with Bonnie. Klaus and Stefan go on a bloodbath bender, while Elena deals with Stefan's absence and her feelings for Damon back in Mystic Falls. We don't know much about Caroline's Matt/Tyler love triangle, but she was spotted straddling Tyler in the Season 3 trailer, so ...
