Where We Left Off: The House-Cuddy relationship ended in disastrous fashion in last season's finale, as House rammed his car into her dining room window after seeing her on a date with a new guy. Last we saw our tortured genius doc, he was in hiding at a bar in the tropics.

What's Next: Season 8 opens with House locked up in jail, paying the price for his destructive behavior. (Since Lisa Edelstein left the show this off-season, don't expect any more closure with the Cuddy storyline.) While there he meets a prison doc played by Odette Annable, and a few new doctors, including comedian Charlyne Yi, will be brought into Princeton-Plainsboro to shake things up.
