Back to Fall TV Preview: Returning Shows
'Harry's Law'
NBC
Where We Left Off: David E. Kelley's comedy-drama carved out a place in prime time for a strong, smart, 60-something woman, but even though audiences warmed to it, critics can't stop complaining about the crappy writing. Does America care if the dialogue is indigestible to English majors, or if the showrunner's idea of a shocking twist is for a lawyer to disrobe, literally, in court? Probably not.
What's Next: Well, we won't have Brittany Snow and Aml Ameen to kick around, but there are new lawyers in town, played by Mark Valley and Karen Olivo. They are described as "wolfish" and "eager," respectively. Alfred Molina will also appear as a murderer -- is it too much for us to hope for Bates to handle him herself, 'Misery'-style?
Season 2 premieres Wed., Sept. 21, 9PM ET on NBC
