Back to New Shows We've Already Given Up On
'Ringer'
The CW
The promise: Buffy Summers' ... wait, I mean Sarah Michelle Gellar's ... highly anticipated return to television in two roles that she seemed more than suited for: an ex-stripper and her socialite twin sister.
Why I've given up: Considering we know what a kick-ass female lead Gellar can be, the script is far too flat and predictable for her to actually deliver anything short of boring. Not to mention that the majority of the humor comes from the show's student-film budget and no-frills effects.
